Have you ever heard of Shroedingers cat problem? How do you prove an object exists unless u are aware of it? If it exists, it must first be perceived and there comes awareness. Therefore absolute existence, absolute consciousness go hand in hand. Existence is borrowed from consciousness and consciousness is the basis of existence. The objects are first created in mind and then they are brought into creation or fruition. Without an idea no so called reality is ever created. You need not appreciate the thinking of our rishis because you are simply not upto that level.

It gives objective reality to it as a pen to those observers whose sense organs of perception translate it as a pen to them. Another observer whose sense organs do not so translate it receives a different impression. For example does the ant crawling over it experience it through its sense organs as a pen? Likewise does the fly that pitch on it experience it through its sense organs as a pen. Further do the ant and the fly perceive it the same way? The answer is no. So it exits in reality but the nature of its existence is related to the organs of perception of the observer.

I disagree. Her logic accepts that the pen as an object is presenr; however, it is present as a pen only to the perception of humans on account of the sensory organs we have and which influence our perception. Had we different organs of perception that same pen could appear as something different based. An animal does not see it as a pen; neither do different animals see it as the same object. Think three blind men held on to an elephant - the one wjo held its tail thought he was holding a rope; the one who held its side thought he was holding a wall; and the one who held its (I am forgetting the third now). The point is that the sense organ coming in contact with the object sees the object through the its own perception and not as the object really is. Hope that was clear enough to help. Cheers.
Only bez we have five senses we see the pen as it is. Weather it is like that in reality is only a persistence.. science says actually there is nothing called colour it is an appearance happening to humans eye.. because of filters of particular senses... so how can you call it reality?
I think they have the freedom to listen to whatever they want, esp. If it concerns their own country's culture and wisdom. This is an elective course and nobody has forced them to pick it up. You also have complete freedom of not listening to it but have no right to ask others to do so. You may not have understood the subtle nuances of the deep teachings. But that is understandable as not everyone has enough intellect to grasp deep spiritual wisdom

Hey IIT students dont waste the Govt money on you. You dont have to be in IIT campus for this.
