Yeah; we could probably help the Team by trading a CB for some ILB help.
I say keep the 6 CBs we have let Artie walk. I’d rather keep these 6 CBs around for a couple more years if they play well this year.
I'd keep Artir over Mike Jack. Artie has slot flexibility.
Or keep Artie Burns and cut DJ James. He was a 6th round pick. If the Seahawks determine that DJ James is the 7th best CB on the team, just cut him. I don't get teams fears of cutting someone they drafted because they will "look bad". The end of the draft is a crap shoot anyway. If he clears waivers and you can practice squad him, great.
@@upoceoyou sound dumb af saying cut James lmao. Yeah he was a 6th round pick but clearly he is worth keeping or has potential if they haven’t cut him. I’ve seen Artie get burnt on multiple plays against the titans 3rd and 4th string wr on a video on Twitter. James had atleast a pbu im taking that over a veteran who has been in the league for awhile getting burnt by 3rd and 4th strings. You clearly don’t know ball and it shows

@@cazewh3652looks like you need a lesson in ball….A)they aren’t cutting anyone at this point because they haven’t seen enough against other teams in game situation and until cutdown date….B)wr in one on one practice drills have a 100% advantage over a db, especially when they are from two different teams…db’s don’t even try because they are basically offensive drills…C) one play by a rookie isn’t enough to keep him over a vet…..

I really wish we would've taken Junior Colson in the draft at some point. Drafting TWO CB's was very unnecessary.
Wasnt Junior taken right before we picked Haynes? Maybe we thought he would've fallen. Plus we did end up taking Knight who Mike, considered to be a LB genius, liked a lot.
I have no objections if we picked two LBs though.

I agree. I'm especially not into the DJ James pick. The guy I really regret us not taking with our DJ James pick was Michael Barrett who went at pick 240. If we were really set on a corner, we could have taken Kalen King with the DJ James pick who I totally agree sucked last year, but was the best CB in the country the year before. We also could have grabbed Will Reichard and saved $3M on Jason Myers' salary.
Why not trade one of them for a linebacker?
Because you need to find a team that
a) needs a corner/wants Jackson or Brown
b) has a LB that you actually want
c) is willing to trade that LB for Jackson or Brown
Trades are not that easy. Plus MacDonald might feel like the LB room is fine.

Like to add, your thinking down the road are excellent points. If we did do a trade, I would trade MJ, not Tre Brown. Might work out better for both parties. MJ might have more playing time on a more corner back needy team, building his stock for a better contract and Seattle gets a draft pick for the future. The money the Hawks organization is spending now is going to make it very hard to resign players next year but who knows maybe Taylor Swift makes another ❤Super Bowl appearance and the NFL can increase the salary cap again.

It's tough to say, All I know is if that's the case this would be the easiest year to win the SB compared to future years. This years schedule is much easier then the future years after taking back control of division, we'll have to face stiffer competition. I believe no matter what Seahawks are primed to be great for the next 5-6 years so creating a trade with either MJ or TB would be ideal espcially if TB is just gonna hit free agency next year, might as well get something for him ASAP. Tre Brown is filthy IMO he's worth a 4th minimum. That may be why it hasn't happened yet it'll be so unfortunate to only garner a 6th.

I don’t think this is a superbowl year. Young New coach, new system, players learning this system. Not realistic. Right side of offensive line is a big ? Mark. I believe this will be a much improved Seahawks team from last year. Looking forward to see how far these guys go this season though. I would not be surprised they make the playoffs. Primarily because of the defense. Time will tell.

Browns gone out there and been a dog out there. He's smaller but I feel Mike will get more out of a trade, and if we're not using him.....why not get something for him. I think Mike would also be easier to move. And like Brendon said, you save more money as well.

Trade them asap, and get draft capital, something we rarely focus on, and how valuable Draft Capital really is.
After watching this video, I pondered how well will Coach Mike McDonald do. I was looking at successful 1st year rookie coaches, while it is unlikely, but one never knows... It will be definitely be a fun and engaging 1st year with the new identity of the Seahawks this year.
That preseason game was the best defensive game we have had in a while, preseason and regular. I have a lot of optimism. Let’s see how the rest of these preseason games go

Trade both Jackson and Brown. The team's weaknesses at this point are IOL and LB. Can Seattle make a trade for help at those positions? If not, get the highest draft pick for next year.

trade Tre Brown for sure. Injured as often as CJ Procise, and he is a remnant of the subpar losing defenses of the past few years, of that mindset. Clean house. Mike Jackson, same kind of deal, always plays good enough in practice to get over new rookies etc, practice warrior who grabs tge spot, but then mostly sucks in actual games. Trade him. Mentality is important. You see now hiw Jamal Adams shows his true colors now that he's in Tennessee, he's very jealous of witherspoon and I really thought that killed our hot chemistry last year when he came back. He rven "accidentally" slammed into witherspoon very hard on several plays and actually injured him against SF. good riddance that guy sucked
