Looks like the attacking tactic really dominates in the match engine, but its completely innacurate.
Rooney Tevez and ronaldo would often be quite close laterally, so the width should not be entirely stretched.
They certainly didn't play out from the back.
They absolutely did not counter press as a team. Maybe Rooney and or Tevez at times but good luck getting Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes or Carrick to press relentlessly.
Van der Saars distribution was extremely varied and certainly didnt focus on the centre backs.
A high pressing line and high defensive line was just not a thing.
Giggs definitely was not an out and out winger at this stage and was more so roaming into pockets.
Not sure I would have an attacking role on either Rooney or Tevez as both really got back to defend at times and more often than not Ronaldo would be the focal point when transitioning to attack.
Wouldn't usually be so critical, just this was MY TEAM.
Michael thanks for commenting can never please everyone it's just an opinion of how i saw things. I NEVER make recreations to suit the game and have put in 3 versions of a tactic as no team just plays one way .In the video I did state high line etc was not as common back 10-15 years ago, however when playing against a lower premier league team they would still push that defensive line up and have a higher press. A counter press doesn't mean relentless pressuring either it's generally the first 5 seconds after losing the ball. I would agree with you on the Giggs point but then if Nani played there then the role would have to be different. Play out of the defence surely would be clicked on whether that's switches of plays or play balls into Carrick and scholes.
