    Nice job Toby. With spring just around the corner I hope to see many more. I'm retiring as a Tugboat Captain for 30+ years in NY Harbor and some keen investments over the years will put me in one of these beautiful boats soon. Looking forward to that.

    Beautiful boat. That electric fridge door seems absurdly useless though. Another part to fail, takes up space within the fridge, and takes 10x longer to open than just grabbing a handle.

      I think you are being harsh. This is the owner's 10th X-yacht so I expect they are highly experienced and know what they need. There may be a mobility or strength issue with one of the owners that necessitates such a thing, or something else. But, this is the internet, and judgement is everywhere...

    Nice job, Toby. As someone who has never sailed on a vessel with lines led aft concealed under the coachroof what happens when a line is accidentally pulled through without a mouse attached? Is each fed through individual 'electrical conjute' so you could feed fresh line through it or do you have to 'dig up the dexk'?

    • @stefanseyfried8201
      @stefanseyfried8201 Před 2 lety +2

      I’m thinking similarly - Personally I prefer the practicality of non- concealed lines, since I can replace a broken one quickly and without any hustle. Admittedly I don’t know how easy or hard it is to pull a new line on such boat (my boat doesn’t have concealed lines, and I’m dreading the day a halyard breaks and I need to thread it through the mast 😳.)
      But the optics of the flush deck is appealing …

    • @joka6210

      Ball of cotton wool fluff + very light nylon fishing line + decent vacuum cleaner with plenty of suck. Goes through faster than you can sneeze. But, yes! Digging the deck also works.

    970.000 Euros as a "start from" price? If I paid that amount, I would feel like I am paying for Danish manufacturing inefficiencies or subsidizing somebody's jigalo/mistress in Denmark. At that price range, why not go for a Contest yacht with its solid Dutch boat building behind?

    All due respect, I would never spend my one penny on a product from Denmark nowadays. Denmark is going through a strange period. One after another. Like committing human rights violations by stripping the refugees of their valuables. Letting USA's NSA spy on fellow European politicians (Merkel etc) by tapping on the communications cables. Any penny on Danish products is the support of such acts.

      @@michaelg7637 Well, Turkey has accepted more then 4 million refugees from Syria alone. What did Denmark do? Sent their navy boats to the Aegean sea for illegal pushbacks of refugees as a part of the corrupt renegade Frontex border police of EU. And Turkey is much poorer than Denmark. Yet Turks did not steal the valuables of refugees like those shameless Danes. It reminds me of what Nazis did in WWII. Real shame.

    Hmmm... -- QUESTION -- Why do you always hide your review with almost "no wind" when reviewing a new sailboat. Getting tired of the excuses. Next time, we want a proper wind and a proper review in those types of conditions. You are obviously picking review dates on days when there is little or no wind.
