If they just had tones to indicate the bluetooth connection status instead of the “Chinese lady’s voice” (which I find annoying), these would be the perfect boards!

I think that it doesn't matter that much. It is there just to indicate that the device is paired. Some boards indicate it with a voice, some with just LED, or a tone. What I think is most important is that it is cheap and works as advertised.
