    Excellent. I've been binding that last loop to the first bind off stitch. Then weaving the end to the backside next loop. Sounds weird but It's effective.

    Great idea. Why not transfer last stitch to left needle, lift previous bound off stich over that loop and then pull through? That seems easier than threading the loop through the tapestry needle (especially with bulky yarn)
    This seems similar to what someone suggested doing with crochet hook
    I was also taught when weaving in end through purl bump to split the yarn in the purl bump to keep the end from pulling out.

      If I'm understanding your suggestion, that would leave the loop and the end that is pulled through on the right side of your work. I prefer to have all of that hidden on the back.
