Crossing Sardinia by Bike and Corsica on foot - GR20 - SUB ENG

- Ad ottobre 2022 sono partito da casa in bici, dopo essere arrivato nel Nord della Sardegna l'ho lasciata e mi sono imbarcato per la Corsica. Sognavo di andarci già da tanto tempo ed il mio obiettivo era percorrere in autonomia il GR20, ovvero un sentiero di circa 180km che attraversa diagonalmente tutte le montagne dell'isola, considerato " il più difficile d'Europa" ( anche se dopo averlo fatto, a mio parere non è cosi). Dopo essere arrivato al paesino di Conca, ho iniziato a camminare e ho portato a termine il Gr20 in 11 giorni e mezzo senza fretta e in totale autonomia, dormendo in tenda e portando tutto il cibo necessario per circa 15 giorni, questo mi ha permesso di non appoggiarmi ai rifugi e di godere a pieno dell'esperienza e della natura. Dopo essere arrivato a Calenzana, primo paesino dopo 12 giorni, ho attraversato il Deserto delle Agriate in 3 giorni, sono rientrato in Sardegna in autostop e ho recuperato la bici per tornare verso casa.
In october 2022 i left home by bike, after arriving in the north of Sardinia I left it and embarked for Corsica. I had been dreaming of going there for a long time and my goal was to do self sufficien the GR20, it is a path of 180km that crosses all the mountains of the island diagonally, considered "the most difficult in Europe" (even if after doing it, my opinion is not so). After arriving in the village of Conca, I started walking and completed the Gr20 in 11 and a half days without haste and in total autonomy, sleeping in a tent and bringing all the necessary food for about 15 days, this allowed me not to lean on the shelters and to fully enjoy the experience and nature. After arriving in Calenzana, the first village after 12 days, I crossed the Agriate Desert in 3 days, hitchhiked back to Sardinia and recovered my bike to go home.

Fantastic achievement Alberto!!! I will be visiting Sardinia in late April of this year for 2 + weeks for cycling. I definitely would be interested in doing some hiking there as well on a return trip, in the meantime, thank you for your wonderful presentation!! How do you create your map with adjoining 'green' colored trail??? If you could share I would greatly appreciated your input. Safe and Happy journeys to you and I totally respect your wisdom on respecting the dangers of thunderstorms, if you can hear them then you are in striking distance ..... Complimenti!!! Bravissimo!!! Ma anche fortunato. Sulle montagne della corsica il tempo puo essere terribile in qualsiasi stagione, anche se effettivamente ottobre è forse uno dei mesi piu tranquilli. Io ho ricordi di temporali, grandinate e/o nevicate memorabili sulle creste e nelle valli "corsicane". Ben piu che in supramonte! Detto da uno che quei posti (sia dei monti di corsica che di quelli intorno a casa tua) li conosce abbastanza discretamente... Continua così che vai forte!!!

Ciao! Great Video! I did the trail as well and it was quiet tough for me so great respect for your achievement, especially doing it solo and without any refills at the refuges. Next month I will be in Sardinia, and I know the island pretty well actually, but I dont know any multiday hike despite the Selvaggio Blu. Do you have any idea or recommendation? Also! which tent do you use? Greetings from Elba!
Hi, thank you very much, my suggestion is to do the Gennarmontes trek, 120 km through the mountains, there is no information about it but I should make a video about it soon... My tent is Salewa Micra II, the cheapest i found but is very good 👍👍

Ciao, ti ringrazio !! In questo momento sto proprio facendo un video sulla Sardegna 👍, per quanto riguarda i pasti ne faccio solo 1 vero e proprio a cena, di giorno non mi fermo mai per cucinare, mentre con una ricarica di gas da 230g se sto attento me la faccio durare anche per più di un mese 😀
Alberto WoW, non male come durata, io l'ho utilizzata con il cannello, e mi sa che non dura più 15-30' 😄. Ho intuito che probabilmente fai solo un pasto al giorno cucinato. Quindi sicuramente in caso di necessità utilizzi qualche snack. Comunque in certi punti la legna non manca e in questo periodo si può usare anche quella per scaldarsi e cucinare qualcosa di caldo! La Corsica è davvero bella, c'è qualcosa che ti ha colpito in particolare? Tipo luogo, gente, ospitalità ect? Grazie, aspettiamo il video della Sardegna 😀 💖
@@evergreenevergreen1379 @EverGreen EverGreen si beh usandola normalmente dura molto meno, il fuoco di solito lo faccio solo se mi scalda il posto dove dormo, essendo in tenda di solito no, ma in rifugi o cuile sì 👍, l'ospitalità non mi ha colpito particolarmente, anche se sono stato ospitato qualche volta, però non ho fatto riprese, invece per quanto riguarda l'autostop sono stati molto gentili, ad esempio al rientro un signore mi ha portato a Bonifacio solo per farmi prendere il traghetto in tempo, ma lui doveva fermarsi molto prima
