- We just wrapped up our first game of sealed (and Steven's first time seeing the cards: czcams.com/users/live1QVOUB4Xdk0?...) and are breaking the set down based on what we saw.

Is Bryan Gottlieb still doing the rounds talking Outsiders with various streams and podcasts? I feel like he and Steven would hit it off 🤣
Is there a decent 'learn to play video' out there? (TC level vid I mean - like the Netrunner series?)
We have our Fab Foundations series, if that's what your looking for: czcams.com/video/ft-Qs-hQFwg/video.html
@@teamcovenant that IS what I'm looking for! 🎉🙌🏼 Really looking forward to playing. 🤩
Good luck! Let us know if you have any questions.
@@teamcovenant thanks so much! 🙏🏼
I do applaud fab for sticking to its fundementals, but i also wish the game was a bit more daring in terms of design. Dynasty and everfest were filled with items and auras that add an interesting dynamic to gameplay, but are so weak they dont really affect much.
Like if you look at the arrows and stealth attacks in outsiders, theres tons of cards that are just variations of "attack, on hit token," which works fine to keep the gameplay similar, but isn't particularly exciting.
Blood debt was a crazy cool mechanic. Tales of aria didnt have much. Uprising getting dragons changed the game. Outsiders is just kinda ok.
There's a reason for that... if every set outdoes the last then the game will become stale. I think it's okay to just have a couple "ok" sets so when we get something like uprising it really wows us. For example... when monarch came out it was overhyped so for me it was just ok.. but toa came out and I felt like it was good but uprising was mine blowing and it's my favorite set so far next to arcane rising for me.
