Helping children learn to get sound sleep independently requires a lot of time, patience and hardwork on part of the parents .. it’s really not as simple as saying good night to your child one fine day( night) walking off and expecting them to sleep well on the first night.
Hardly any mother in the west uses cough syrup to put the child to sleep.
Please also read about the ill effects of a girl sleeping with her parents beyond a certain age . It’s a necessary skill that we must be able to teach our kids but with love and patience .
