S3E28: Canyon Without Crowds | On The North Rim With TrailRecon And E3 Overland

- We made our way to Arizona on October 27th 2021 for the 2nd Annual Canyon Without The Crowds event sponsored by E3 Overland. We arrived a day early for the special VIP package with Brad from TrailRecon. One of the VIP perks was camping with Brad on the edge of the Grand Canyon our first night there. It was an enjoyable 5 days of western style fun alongside other Overlanders at the Bar 10 Ranch.
The video didn’t turn out exactly as I had hoped. I was hoping for perfection since I was “overlanding” with a legend. I normally do a lot of preparation and planning but had no idea what to expect on this trip. I didn’t get all the different camera angles I wanted because of time constraints. I think that's why I'm not completely satisfied with my video. The horse back ride and ATV ride needed different perspectives. I should have went out ahead of time with other groups to get better shots to use as B roll but didn't think about it. The event had a pace all of its own. It's hard to get the shots you want when your at the mercy of a group, but that’s not why we were there. The event was amazing and E3 Overland does a great job of making a worthwhile experience even better. They put a lot of work into the event and made us feel special. We felt like we were part of a family, not just another paying subscriber.
