HOMELESS - A Short Documentary Based in London

  • Homelessness is a huge problem in London and over the whole of the UK. Not only is it a big problem but a growing one too.
This short documentary is based in London and focuses on three homeless people, exploring their experience of being on the streets.
Unlike many of us, homeless people don't have a platform to share how they feel. They don't have the support systems we do. This documentary aims to give voice to issues that might otherwise get lost in the wind and raise awareness about an ever growing problem.

A wonderful short film depicting the lives of three souls that ended up homeless. Nicely filmed and paced. Homeless makes me so angry. There is absolutely no need for it, but as long as we live in a society where we have to pay to live and other evils, this will not only continue but get worse. God bless, protect and guide all souls that end up on the streets. 🙏🏼🙏🏾🙏🏻🙏🏿

Its his own fault. stop falling for the pity angle these lot thrive on. He is pensionable age. All he has to do is go to Crisis to get a registered address then he is on £100 per week.
There is a massive industry built around these people. A ton of people earn wages of these people.
There is no longer any excuse. There are exceptions, but generally if they are old, then it is mostly pointless. foucs on giving to the young ones who look like they have just been dropped into the world. Not these old-timers with their well-worn stories that delight documentary makers like this cause viewers can say how terrible it is and what sd b done.
It is misery porn. Most of them are there for good reasons.

When we moan and complain about our life, we should all take a moment to realize how very, very fortuante we are. In a world focused on profit, consumption and disposable everything its clear we have lost our way. Tough love has its place to harden our youth to the bittersweet challenges they will face in this world but it should be accompanied by teaching our young people compassion and kindness as well.

The thing is they do not give them to the homeless as they cannot afford to buy one at a later stage, they hand out 4-5 bars to anyone who is working, *I collect as many as I can and then I give them all to the homeless.* !!! :D :D :D
I have never understood greed with money and food, we live in a society where this should not be happening but alas our governments have traded money for new affordable homes for new ways to kill each other.
*FACT:* if all the countries of the world spent just 10% of their military fund on curing cancer, we would have a cure by now and homelessness would be a thing of the past.
It's not the publics minds we should be targeting for change, its the governments....

I cared for my mum and when she died I went through hell but I had legal rights. After 6years they got planning permission to redevelop and were going to take me to court for possession.
Lucky for me I had a great solicitor who went to the council and I was nominated for a flat.

My ex was a heroin addict and my best friend was too. I almost did it one night, to see what the hype was about. But I ended up not. Drugs are the worst. They take away everything. I have a soft spot for addicts. They are slaves to their addiction. I wish I could help them all. They’re beautiful people deep down.

i mean, the second guy came to the country and didn't get a job and turned to heroin and 'decided' to live on the streets. he really gives eastern europeans a bad name. I've worked alongside my eastern europeans in london and they are the hardest working people I've ever met.. they come here with the sole goal to work hard and save money not give up straight way and start begging. I mean I appreciate he admits his situation is of his own making which is honest and refreshing.

People are so dumb do blame homeless on illegals and immigrants.... the people who should be accountable for homelessness is the government and the billionaires, these are the people with power and these are the people who can truly do something to help worldwide poverty including social issues inside the U.K.

People treat the homeless people like crap because deep down they feel guilty that their life is better. To blame the homeless for their condition is a way of justifying The better life they have. By Vilifying the homeless they feel deserving of their position. But deep down they know it could happen to them

Hi Edward, hope you are well. I was just wondering why you stopped making these types of videos? The quality is really good and inciteful. I am wanting to start my own series about the struggles many are facing in Britain at the moment and highlight the stark differences between what politicians are saying and real life. If you are interested it would be good to speak with someone like yourself who understands about this a little.
