Wow lots of fowers!
I love em!
Flowers?! Oh yeah! First ones to come up were the carrots from last year. Beautiful. Even saved some seeds but then found out that if you have queen Anne's Lace around then your carrot seeds may be more weed than carrot. Have to test that batch in a container. Then also have bok Choi and a few other greens that I left go to seed. The second volunteers were all the sunflowers. Found out that they can stunt the growth of plants and sure enough left two too close to my tomato challenge and it's the only tomato plant without tomatoes! So they are in the process of being relocated.😢 Flowers and herbs so far IN the garden are chamomile, poppies, Johnny jump-ups, summer savory, dill, borage, and alyssum (all volunteers) and bought some herbs to add. Bought some flowers to add and created a little area running alongside the trellises for geraniums and assorted flowers. It's a beautiful oasis! Love meandering through it all. Having a great wave right now so bought a 90° shade cloth to drape over everything.😢
I never thought of cross pollination with the carrots. That’s a good point!
