bro your a legend my remote wasnt working and i had to take it apart to fix it the left button and middle button were not working thank you
Same location on my remote. After opening the remote I noticed the bottom 4 keys ,netflix, sling,Netflix,, n Starz was loose and did not get the sticky material. I never used soap and never got the left button to function. Have to replace remote
Thank you!
I wish I could send you several of my Roku remotes!
Haha, have you had a couple remotes go down?
@@VestigialVoice yea I had one that we don’t use very often that I planned on replacing the whole Roku since the remotes alone cost almost as much as a whole new Roku. Then I have another one for an outside TV (under a roof) that started acting up. I think it was left on a table that may have gotten some sun. Hopefully I’ll be able to get them apart and cleaned so I won’t have to buy replacements.
OK, I did this once and then my left and up buttons got sticky again. What I did is go back in, heat up the plastic sheet containing the buttons with a hair dryer. I removed it, cleaned it with soapy water and alcohol then reassembled without any glue at all. It works just fine. My conspiracy theory is that Roku purposely used a sticky goo thinking we would purchase new remotes. No bueno.
oh...i got a pry tool lying around...NOT!!!!!
now thats why you whip out the pocket knife
@@brooklynnnrain8468but what if you don’t have a pocket knife
