This song is honestly really sad and deep. Very controversial as well. You can tell from the video that it's about a pedophile, but it's about knowing how disgusting your addiction or whatever you wanna call it is, but not being able to do anything about it because it's that bad. It also talks about how after doing his time in prison and being put back into society he knows no one would ever forgive him for his unbearable crimes. I would never want to succumb to that, it's quite possibly the worst thing to happen to a human... Props to Trevor for being an amazing lyricist.

I'm a devout Christian so let me explain this for those who are not.

In the very beginning, at 0:05 it shows the scripture from the bible in Mark 9:42. It's a passage where Jesus gives a grime warning to those who dare harm children.
The video then continues to show a cross become inverted, (illustrating what once was divine, is now defiled [by modern definition]).
This is followed by a once normal man, growing horns like a demon, followed by all kinds of satanic imagery to imply he has become demonically possessed by giving into his darkest desires.

At 0:11 we see the same man crying in prison, as he prays while holding Catholic Rosary Beads. This tells us he is trying to break away from his evil and repent, but he has done a thing that can not be forgiven: he harmed an innocent child.

[As he is praying, we see his imagination and memories]
We see a flash-back of his misdeeds, the things he is trying to ask forgiveness for.
At 0:19 we see the man watching tv in only socks, underwear, and a Catholic Priest's collar, (telling us he was a serving Priest). As a man of the cloth, he his held at a higher standard than the normal person, so his punishments are worse.
While he watches tv, his hands are covered in blood; and then, the scene pans to his basement, showing a bloody table with weapons thrown about, (implying he just tortured and murdered someone in cold blood).
This is followed by depictions of his fears. We see him being tortured in ways similar to how he tortured others, as he feels guilty and worthy of punishment.

Guards then startle him from his deep thought as they then retrieve him from his holding cell and take him to a court room for his hearing.
The judges hit the table with her gavel and declares court is now in secession.
As the court room hears the details of what happened, it gives us an image of some of the crimes he is being charged with.

We learn he stalked children on the playground, knocked them out using Chloroform, kidnapped them, then took them home to have his way with them. We see two victims: a little boy that he killed, and also a little girl with "blond pigtails and rosy-red cheeks" that he raped and also killed.

The judges finds him Guilty at 1:01 and the man is scared of what will happen to him in prison so he is cries.
Meanwhile, in the audience of squinted eyed on-lookers, we see a woman in the back smiling.
The woman in the back of the courtroom is the mother of the little girl he harmed, and she is sitting with anticipation to claim her revenge.
At 1:10 , the scene lets us glimpse through the woman's purse to see a revolver and a photo of her dead daughter (with the same "blond pigtails and rosy-red cheeks").

[We are then shown the mother's imagination and thoughts] 1:11
We then see a coffin and the gun, (implying her intent is to kill) followed by the hate in her heart showing her vivid images of her innocent daughter prancing happily in his hand, just before he crushes her to death.
This is followed by images of drugs and a skull (suggesting death is the man's drug and he can't stop using).
This idea then turns into the notion that he will never stop killing children and when he gets out of prison he will kill again,
(which is illustrated by the childish fairy tale of Stork's carrying babies; but instead of delivering them to happy families to live long lives, they are delivering them to a skull factory that only produces death.)
The woman then imagines him exposing himself to one of his alter boys and raping them while telling them it's for Jesus
(at 1:30), followed by images of the man bloodied and burying a child, (telling us she would expect him to then killed the boy after raping him).

At this point, 1:41 we see all those same satanic images from before that once plagued the man's mind, now flood this mother's mind, while all of her imagined scenarios also flash in her mind at once, (telling us that same demonic entity that once force the man's hand to do evil against his best judgement, is now manipulating Her to do things against her best judgement.)
We see a beating heart (her heart is pounding) as she then stands up in court, walks to the man, pulls out her gun, and kills him in the courtroom by shooting him 3 times in the face, (which would ruin her life).

2:02 The man then dies and we see him being thrown into the pits of hell because he dared harm a child (just as the scripture in the very beginning warned).
As he falls, he remembers all the evil he did. We see the drugs, which are babies, and him devouring them whole/killing them.

2:32 After finally landing at the bottom of hell, he is now face-to-face with what can only be presumed to be Satan, and the sun/moon of the underworld is replaced with the image of Islam, the Star and Crescent Moon, since Islam teaches pure hatred, murder, and rape.

2:45 Satan then praises the Islamic Star and Crescent Moon, and calls down a demon which appears from within the Star, (which doubles as a pentagram of Wiccan Pentagram).
The Demon doesn't appear as a evil creature; but rather, as a ghost of the little girl he hurt.

The demon reaches out towards the man and so he reaches to touch her; but as soon as he does, damnation overcomes him as his face melts away and his eyes explode from his head.
The demon then continues to torture him over and over again with physical pain to his body; and also, flooding his mind with images of his life and all the horror he inflicted to children.

Then in the closing scene, 3:37, he can't take anymore, as he weeps and urinates on himself; so, he throws himself off a cliff and into the lake of fire to burn for all eternity.
Since he refused to be baptized by the Holy Spirit in this life, so he shall be baptized by fire in the next.

Fucking TBDM kicks so much ass!!!! I've been a loyal fan ever since I heard my first song by them which was everything went black. I then went out and bought Nocturnal, Miasma and their self titled album. I've bought every album after that and I can say in my opinion they've only gotten better with time. Plus they're one of the best bands I've seen live. Studio quality sound every time. I'm already looking forward to their next album. ALL HAIL THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER! \m/ \m/
