- Today's video is a collaboration with my friend Sharon from East Coast Stories! We decided to do a filler collaboration! We hope it will encourage you to pack up some filler for the Processing Center this year or next! Filler is used to fill a box at the PC that is not a full box. Perhaps inappropriate items were removed or the box was only packed half full. The PC always needs quality filler donations. Filler can be dropped off at any shoebox drop-off location in a box(NOT a shoebox) clearly marked "FILLER" on the outside. You can also take filler directly to the Processing Center near you. Each PC has a drop off location where you can drive your car around to drop it off. Thank you for packing filler! You will bless many boxes with your donations!

I have packed OCC boxes since I was a kid, and I have distributed them over seas for 3 years... In all that time, I never knew about filler!!! It wasn't until this year that I heard about filler. This is so important to help fill those boxes that need a little extra love when they arrive at the processing centers.
Filler is sooooo needed. If you’ve ever worked the processing center, you would see the need. So many half filled boxes and not enough nice things to fill them. It breaks my heart sometimes. Getting the word out is the most I can do and hope that others will do the same. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment, Kayla!

Oh wow, these are definitely wow pencil packs! I hope they come through my table when I volunteer! I love how different our pencil packs are even with the backpacks. We shared the same drawstring backpack as we packed in our videos! Great deal on the notebooks. That's awesome you have green and red notebooks. And you added a Christmas sticker. Love the muslin baggies you added with the card games. That's another item we have similar, adding some sort of card games. Such a great idea about asking about the loose crayons and colored pencils. I do bet they throw them away. I will ask in the future! I can tell you put a lot of time and detail in these pencil packs just like you do with your shoeboxes. For example, laminating the gift cards for the kids to use as bookmarkers. The little polar bear erasers are sooo adorable! Beautiful touch is adding the cross. Ahhhh you and Sharon do the best pencil packs! You think of everything and I love how you include fun items! The pencil packs with the shirts were another great idea. I think Sharon did socks! You guys are my pencil packing heroes!
Awww… you are sweet! We love packing pencils anyway we can! Lol! This was a fun collaboration that we thought of when we had lunch recently and did our stash exchange. We both knew we had purchased the backpacks so it made perfect sense! I’m trying to encourage filler donations as much as possible! ❤️

Hi Denise, These are great WoW pencil packs. I really like this idea - If you are sending writing tools, pack paper. If you are sending colouring tools (pencils/crayons), send colouring paper (vice versa). And don't forget the pencil sharpner! At the PC, I so wanted to dive into my stash and pull out sharpners and erasers. For sewing kits, it was sewing needles or fabric ... Time to start the 2023 filller re-stock ! 🙃

Balloons are allowed to be packed in OCC boxes. I have on occasion packed them in pencil packs as a fun one time use item!
