When poduction of XT660X ended? In 2016? We are waiting too long for the new Tenere and I am happy it's arriving soon but, is it going to look exactly like this or front lights, body an otherparts will be different?
I was waiting too long for this machine and finally I couldn't help buying a Suzuki V-Strom 650 a month ago, with which I'm absolutely pleased!

You will NEVER regret it. I bought the new ATAS. A peach in all conditions, solo or 2 up. Goes everywhere but yep, needs knobbies for serious offroad. An absolute blast on country roads AND motorways.
Exactly what I'm looking at doing. I wanted something smaller and lighter, but Yamaha is taking forever. Might go this weekend to pick up the ATAS.

@@xontheweb2376 No he WILL regret it like HELL when he is trying to pick that pig up out of the sand as a 300llb/70hp 2019 Yamaha 700 Tenere blows by him....He would have to have bought a 450 single to not be sorry when (if?) the Tenere is released...IMHO ....And i came SO CLOSE to pulling the trigger on an AT ...dealer offered me a brand new '17 at 12,700 out the door tax license everything.... I bought a used bike instead to get by as I wait ....bought private party below wholesale price so I can't go wrong ...If I had grabbed the AT? I would have to have kept it at least a few years to justify buying it
Dear Yamaha, I'm sure this is going to be a fantastic bike with the unbeatable quality and reliability Yamaha is known for when it finally is released. However your current marking technique is losing you customers. You have a 12-18 month window available to hype up a bike and release it to the market. I waited as long as I could but I just bought a 2018 Triumph Tiger 800XCA instead. Maybe someday Yamaha will bring this unicorn to the United States...but in the meantime, I'm going riding.
You just saved me from writing the exact same comment as I put on other Promotional Videos for this bike . More dealers maybe a lower price .. I know this much my FZ-07 is way too squirrely on gravel roads to try and ride to Alaska.. I'll either wait for Yamaha or Buy a Triumph or KTM .. never studied the KTM . don't like the high prices of German parts ect..
At least they are using an established motor ..
It is possibly the most irritating pointless ad campaign ever..ktm seem to be just getting on with releasing their 800..had all this with the mt09 I just bought a street triple

I must agree ... Instead of waiting I temporarily bought new Tracer 700 (same engine ..) but next spring I will buy KTM 790/390 (New Tenere is in the stars and KTM has always better equipment. But you have last chance... If u release it in March/May, i'll definitely buy one. Also, price and equipment must be in the level of competitors, not overpriced
You could always sell your tiger and buy a new one of these a few years down the line
sehr vielversprechend und verheißungsvoll. Auch die Tatsache, dass Yamaha sich sehr viel Zeit gelassen hat und das Konzept 700er Ténéré ausgiebig getestet / geprobt hat. Was man bisher gesehen und auch gehört hat, wie z.b in diesem Clip macht auf jeden Fall mehr als Neugierig. Ich werde mir die Maschine auf jeden Fall, bei der ersten Gelegenheit zu einer Probefahrt beim freundlichen ausleihen und bin schon mega auf die Komponenten, Fahrbarkeit und das Handling.
Wenn dem alles so ist, wie versprochen.........IST DAS MEIN NEUES BIKE

Yes, we all have been waiting. I almost bought a ktm 690 oe the Husky 701. I really hoping that u are still trying to keep the seat hieght low. We dont all have 35"+ inseam. But I am going to wait. If it does not come out for 2019, you then loose yet one more fan.
Very pretty promotional Yamaha, but just get on with it! In the meantime my garage is filling with various KTM models, soon enough there will be no room for this bike and I’ll be none the wiser!
One of best videos ever seen. I ride XT1200Z First Edition and the motor broke down - new pistons at 40000km - no warranty by Yamaha. This was my last Yamaha. This video is of way higher quality than reality according to my desastrous experience of 3.000 USD repair.
OMG.. Superamazing Video.. i had to sell my MT07 to get a tourer bike.. i had to go with a Vstrom 650.. but one day i will have that T700 ..yeahhh

No, nov 6th, 2018, they will announce the date for release ... of the next teasing ad 😂🤣 a friend of mine is Yamaha dealer and has absolutely NO information of a relase date for the T700, as of this early November, 2018.
All right, we got the information. Release in Europe June 2019, price close to 10k€, weight 190kg dry/ 205 kg wet, 72hp, 88cm seat height, 16 liters tank/ 350km range. No Track control, no cruise control, 21/18 inches tube type wheels. It looks like a 30%70% on/off road design. Modern trail, between dirt bikes and adventure/ tourer bikes. I'm concerned with passenger and paniers capacities !?

You'd be surprised how capable a Harley is off road. I threw a pair Dunlop d606's on it and it can now handle the gnarliest of single track. Not as flickable as my 500exc, but close 👌

I just came back again to check: STILL NO ENGLISH SUBS FOR THE NON-ENGLISH PARTS.. highly disappointing.
I've been wanting one of these since the tease first started. As usual, when it is finally introduced, Europe and the rest of the world will get it next year but the USA and Canada probably won't see this bike on the showroom floors until late 2020. That is what I have seen in the past on numerous Yamaha models.
What a farce!!!!!! Let's hope Honda comes up with a smaller AT. KTM will probably announce production of the 790R at eicma... Yamaha can show off its pinkish blue unicorn in the hands of its "ambassadors" for the next ten years...

I believe Yamaha's true intention was to provide universities with Business and Marketing departments on a subject matter regarding how NOT to conduct new product releases. What's the point of studying only successful product marketing campaigns. Students need to be exposed to marketing failures as well. Yamaha is doing a great service to future Marketing directors of the world.

Ténéré 321cc now! MT03 engine with more kgf.m and low max Power HP (33 CV, no more).
How long are they going to drag this out... Main question is if the bike will be a decent weight for offroad (under 160kgs) or just a heavy tourer like all the others...
