One thing I have noticed is that when using this microphone you do get a very small delay so your audio is out of sync with the film footage. Check some of your footage and watch very carefully you can see it. I have to move my audio back ever so slightly in editing software to compensate. Think this maybe due to lag with the Bluetooth connection. Other than that its a great little device.
how much do you have to adjust your audio timing by to get spot on synchronisation?
Stopped using it to be honest and have a rode videomic. Really cant remember but think it was about 0.06 of a second. It is very subtle so just adjust slightly either way and you will know when its right than jot down the amount. really sorry I cant be of more help.
A good way to find out exactly how off the audio is would be a clapper board. Snap or clap an solid object against a stationary hard surface at close range. If you go frame for frame, the sound delay will become very evident, and you can use this as a control group to sync all other audio.
(If the sound was say, three frames off, you can move all future audio three frames back as well as a rule.)
Important to note:
Distance won't increase delay. The wireless connection will drop long before there's even a millisecond's difference.
once you've established the exact audio offset, its important to remember that that specific offset in dependent on your specific settings/framerate/camera.

There are two problems with this unit, in my opinion.
Firstly, since the receiver connects to the 30 pin jack on the back of the GoPro, I don't understand the need for a ribbon cable.
Secondly, the Removu M1 & A1, samples audio @ 44.1KHz with a 16 bit depth, while the GoPro Hero is capable of recording audio @ 48KHz. While CD audio is acceptable for most consumer applications, it isn't a good choice for editing.
would have been nice if you could have given a rough expected price...good video thumbs up cheers shane

+Clarence Smith - If you have your own headset, or need something specific for use within a helmet for example, then the Sena is great. If you need the entire package, or want a waterproof microphone, the Removu is fantastic. Bear in mind you can also use any other headset with the Removu, so its much more flexible for any user.....

This looks great, but I'm unsure about its usefulness for motorcycle vlogging. Do you think it would be any good? Would the mic fit in a helmet or can you recommend a mic setup for the GoPro4 with motovlogging in mind?

+Doticaster - the mic is small enough to place in your helmet, but you can always use your own bluetooth microphone with the A1 BacPac so the choice is yours!
Alternatively, there is the Sena solution as well, although you'd need the separate waterproof housing : czcams.com/video/6nNEwSNEppw/video.html

Would you recommend this devise for motorcycling? Which device is the best one the Removu or the Sena Bluetooth Auido Pack? I want to start motorcycle vlogging so really need a good microphone in my helmet. Many thanks in advance.
I'd go for the Sena if its for use on your bike, since thats whats Sena specialise in!

You use your standard waterproof extended back door that comes with any other GoPro bacpac. Unfortunately one is not included with the Removu :o(
