The guy at our local auto parts store said I didn't need a sealing gasket. The one I was replacing had a gasket glued to the old failing unit. I didn't believe him.
Good for you. I am always weary of any mechanic who tells me something is not needed in the car which the manufacturer had it in there when they built the vehicle. 95% of the time, every piece of anything in a car was put there for a reason. I always tell me put it back the way it was for my peace of mind.
I have a question i bought an 08 ranger ac was working perfectly fine nice and cold and the next day outta no where no air flow at all wnd would a bad blower cause an ac compressor not to run on also cause I notice that doesn’t kick on
Would you know why my heat doesn’t get hot? I check the vacuum lines and they’re good I put new coolant and a thermostat Idk what else to do. I have a 08 2.3 ranger.
@@toolhead147 thanks so much I figured that one more question what if the seal is old and won’t come out and they don’t sell the seal when I called autozone they said I could use gasket maker to seal it will that work ???

It could be a lot of things. No hot air or temperature air could be a fuse or the fan blower

How do you know if it’s the blown motor ? Or the compressor ? I had a ford ranger 2008 no air is coming out
Great question. The compressor fails or no freon you get hot air. When the blower motor goes bad you get no air.

@@thetruthaboutbusiness yes use the gasket market, I just made it out of thick cardboard for now it's still working.
My motor somehow sucked in some leaves so is noisy need to clean it out
What happens if you don’t put the gasket?
It may suck in or leak air from the engine bay
