- Making of Shree 5 chirra Khukuri by KHHI Nepal.
See how Kami's at Khukuri House makes this khukuri by hand. The blade is heated in a charcoal fire, forged and hammered by hand. Then the blade is heat treated in a traditional way using oil/water.
Then the major & crucial part of making chirra (fuller) in the blade is done. It requires skilled and balanced hands. It is one of the hardest to craft so only skilled and pro Kamis can do it.
We are very proud of our makers.

I'm so grateful that i was able to purchase one of the knives that was made by your team. I always look at it with wonder, respect and gratitude. Truly a fantastic tool.
The seconds.. minutes... hours... days... weeks... months.. to even years of making and honing these skills are some of the finest craftmanship. Their Khukris are top notch and made with a lot of TLC.
To those that own their crafted knifes, take care of their blade well.
Amazing work !! There kukri saved my life from being mug thank you!! well always buy from them.
Bought several good quality kurkri knives from Nepal for my knives collection. Got great compliments on them. I know I can rely on these knives for zombie apocalypse or self defense.
Thank you sir. Appreciated your comment. Pls enjoy the knives.
Beautiful, amazing work - I wish we could all work like this and buy elementary stuff only once to use it a lifetime... this would be great for mother earth...

The blacksmith is handsome!so that's his work!is a handsome also! Make it nice!and more customers will comes for you to buy a dozen of orders!goodluck Godbless!
ive just bought an old one of these in a junk market in thailand,, cant believe so much work goes into one. much respect to those guys
An amazing craftsmanship and the man who crafted this Kukri is so young (25yrs old)!
No way I can imagine young men in our country doing this. No manual labor is held in acclaims nowadays in our world anymore, but these young men are toiling to preserve the legacy of their predecessors thus preserving their identity.
I will surely place an order of one of these finely crafted Kukris from KHHI.
Amazing work of art!!! Thank you for sharing! Namaste!
without any kindof mordern tool working hard as hell they are keeping alive one of the finest craftsmanship in the world SALUTE
love and respect from INDIA
2 PLUS 2 FIVE "without any kind of modern tool what ?
2 PLUS 2 FIVE, he’s using a lot of modern tools.
@@packar2238 Plus modern adhesives just makes them better.
Great music . Damn , i miss Nepal !!
so much skill, effort and love goes into these beautiful knives. I am so glad to have found this video. It had lead me to find where they are made. Now i am able to replace the Khukris stolen by Australian customs apon returning to Australia from the United Kingdom in 1982. Thank you for sharing. Namaste
Awesome to watch this magical transformation from leaf spring to beastly beauty!
What gets me is these highly skilled workers after such a fine work get so little in return!
Fantastic craftsmanship!
I salute him ,as a former metalworker myself, but I do not have his skills at hand working metal with the most basic tools. wonderful. my last name means Smith .
Same here on meaning of the last name!!!
Well it means Smith, but as an occupational last name. It's not Smith as in just German version of English last name Smith. My family has been metal workers and Craftsmen since as far back as the time of the Visigoths!!!
A very good-looking _Tourist_ Khukuri.
So much skill, hard work and time goes into your Khukuris. It’s fantastic to watch.
A wonderful work of art!!!
Well done💪😎👍
And I thought I needed a big ole anvil and hundreds of dollars in equipment. I got my Kukri from a Ghurka commando while in Afghanistan. He said it was hand forged and it is gorgeous! I treasure it so much, rest assured to that Gurkha, whoever he was, I will always treasure it. He was adamant that I treat it with respect, and I understand why too, and treat it with the reverence it deserves.
Gurkhas n kukris have flesh n blood relationship. Thank u for Ur feedback. Jai kukri!!
Great Work, Great artist, Great Spirit, Great Craftmanship, Great Tradition
Beautiful to see such skills still being used
Thankyou
Paul 21.48 gmt Uk cheers
Pure craftsmanship !!!
just artistic.. amazing . pride on my country's culture
A wonderful piece! I thoroughly enjoyed watching you craft this thing with your blood, sweat and tears. Tiny man-made imperfections are what makes it beautiful!

धेरै राम्रो खुकुरी एदि एस्तै सीप र कला हामी सबै नेपालीमा भैदियको भय बिदेशमा अपहेलित भयर गास,बास,कपासको लागि भौतारिनु पर्दैनथियो।
Amazing craftmanship...Bravo!!!
That boy is an amazing talent...
amazing the amount of patience and dedication to making art out of a common piece of metal
I want that man to make my next KHHI knife. Just bought the Power Hammer and I love it. I want a traditional Khukuri next. I was thinking about the Kali-Astra but now I’m thinking I want the 5 Chira. After seeing the level of skill and work that go into that knife. That is exceptional. Beautiful. I bet it takes an entire day to make one. Amazing.
All i can say is WOW what a knife maker i suppose all day every day he knows his skill i have broken a stick tang handle and a shree 5 chirra would be a perfect replacment for it brilliant workmanship...
Thank you!
I'm amazed at the simplicity of tools & work place vs the superb quality of the product produced.
absolutely great
the way he tempered the edge with an old kettle genius i choked up
He he that's how it has been for centuries.. water n kettle been here for so so long n we continue to do this.
nepal khkukuri rock
gurkha rock
I thought, for a fraction of a second, that the kettle was to make tea... Master craftsmen also need a tea break once in a while, right? Hahaha!
Superb craftsmanship

I'm a proud owner of three of these Khukuri knives, 16 , 13 , 12 inch blades.
Awesome Art Salute Your Work Bro.....!⚒🛠🔨
this was extremely fascinating
A real craft manship
No instruments match no sword as reliable then khukuri. The sword of Brave
Do you use Kukri to chop, lama meat?
I just watched a westerner forge a Sirupate Khukuri, all I can say is I saw just how much skill you guys have. The small details make your Khukuris beautiful.
The guys Sirupate was ok but nothing compared to a Nepalese Khukuri. His lacked the authenticity of a real Khukuri.
Thank you sir.

Take a closer look.... What the individual in the video made is a Tourist Khukuri. One designed specifically for sale to tourists who know very little about the culture and the identity which you speak of. One, all of those fullers. Two, the sheer weight. There is no way that khukuri is 24 ounces (maximum ounces a real Khukuri should be). That one will behave like an axe, instead of a machete. Three, it's full-tang. The real ones are all hidden tang. A tourist will buy it, take it home, display it, and look on it with pride. And he will have no clue that what he takes pride in, is not the real thing.
Wonderful craftsmanship considering the tools at hand. Very well done thank you for posting this.
Amazing guy !
Jai Khukuri !
Pure artistry... loved watching
Nice job, I'm from Brazil.

Gepala Dai 🤟 Arajuna Dai 🤟 La pacha chira ramaro banaunu bhakaha pasa Dai laee sajeko chha bhadinu hai ma Aakash vai ⚒️🪓🇳🇵
Super khukuri
Very nice! It's always inspiring to see the tools and equipment that you make do with and the techniques used to implement them, which again shows that it's not necessarily the quality of tools that make a great blade but the bladesmith using them. I was looking forward to seeing what you used to polish up the blade, do you happen to have any videos showing this process? Thanks for sharing :)
Wow 😯😯👍👍
Woow good handy work !
These guys are really talented
Khatarnak 😲😲😲😲😨😨😨😨
