Thank you so much for taking microtuning seriously.
Absolutely, it just makes a lot of sense for this kind of device. Switching to some of the microtonal scales produces very beautiful harmonics.
haha this is such a funny comment I love it. Fck those people who don't take it seriously!
Awesome! I have long regretting not getting the original Elmyra and like that it is back and with a lot of CV inputs.
And outputs as well. :)
Holy sh*t this is insane stuff. My mind is melting at these tones
My desktop kit has just arrived! So excited!!🤗
I normally rock 2 Strega's and JMT kit for my drone based work. My buddy just got his hands on this last week, and I am looking forward to his demos. I am very interested in integrating this into my granular musique concrète set up.
Ah!!! This is sounding amazing!!!
wonderful gear! I have imagined it with Soma's Lyra-8 - that would be a truly noisy pair!!!
Yes, I can confirm it does like to be paired with the Lyra, and vice versa. :)
Sounds a bit like the THC Recursive Comparative machine...Very nice....i have the THC....Hmmm may sell it to get this one
wickedly sweeeeet! Cheers. ;-)
Very tempting! Would be good to see it with an external trigger sequencer on all 4 voices. Someone on Facebook suggested it as a better alternative to a DFAM.
I'll upload more demos and yes, it's pretty cool with external triggers or gates. The envelopes are not snappy enough for drums though, and since they're analog, this can't be changed in firmware. But it's possible to use the per-voice LPF and modulate that via the MOD input like an LPG. I'll try to show that in a video.
@@nyppy Could any component values be changed on a DIY build to make the envelopes snappier? Just a thought. I’m not looking for a DFAM but just wondered.
@@andycleall All SMD components are presoldered, so the DIY build is basically just pots, sockets and LEDs. Someone proficient with SMD soldering could replace 4 capacitors (1206 size, so not too hard to do) in order to make the envelopes shorter. It would make them shorter overall though, so I'd question the suitability for drones. Of course, there's an option to make it switchable, maybe via 4 switches on the back or front of the case.
@@nyppy what values are the smds and what values do you suggest plugging in? I bet I could find matching throughole ceramics in the shed. I'm ordering my diy kit now, really looking to customise it from start while it's hot.
@@jazzzAiman They're 47 µF. Maybe try 10 µF for a start. Happy modding!
🔥🔥🔥
Bald schon bist du mein:)
I’m working more on noise and trigger / cv sources because I’m not firm enough tor analog synthesis and also not daring enough for digital synthesis but this device takes all the goods I can imagine and merges them into one device…
Im wondering: what module I may use to enhance it but there is not much left to miss.
Great work,
maybe we will share ideas next mai in berlin
Sold👍
Want it!
Only 4 more days. 😉
I want this machine but live in France. I am searching but there is no availability in EU. Is there a chance it will be one day distribute here to avoid taxes and huge shipping fees ? I want it in it's assembled desktop version.
It's being distributed in the EU, always has been. Triangle Core Rocks has it in stock, MIDI Amsterdam as well. Gear4Music and Escape from Noise are in the EU too, they are sold out at the moment, but will be restocked soon. The full list of dealers is available on the product website linked above.
Wow.
Hello, so lovely. Can I sequence it with midi data? Considering pairing with my M8
You'll need a MIDI to CV converter. There are Eurorack modules that do that, and also some small standalone units.
@@nyppy yes I have one, thank you. Strong work. Sounds beautiful.
@@frae-frae1940 Thanks! 🙂
Bought one within 20 seconds of seeing this video. I don’t do that. :)
Will this thing run from a USB power bank? Having that power as a portable would be awesome.
You won't regret it. ;) Yes, it'll absolutely run from a power bank.
Yay! Oh, also is there any way to modulate the pitch of the sequencer by any means - so you could ‘change key’. Not a big deal if not.
@@NonsenseInBASIC Not right now, but people have already asked for it and it might get added in a future firmware update.
@@nyppy Great. I forgot it had firmware updates. Ok one very last question (and kinda related) - which bits of this are analogue and which are digital? I couldn’t figure out from the manual.
@@NonsenseInBASIC There are already a lot of ideas for firmware updates, so stay tuned. ;) The envelopes and OUCH circuit are analog, the rest is digital. The filters are close digital simulations of actual analog filters though, and they have a lot of character.
amazing ! how do we conect to a daw ?? i checked there is no midi out
CV only, it's not really made as a MIDI controller.
thanks for the reply! I'm a newbie here, if it doesn't bother you, so how u made it sound or where did u connect the synth?
@@renatonunez-melgarp2066 In order to record sound from a synth or any other device, you don't need MIDI. This machine has an audio output and you connect it to an audio input on your computer or audio interface, which streams the sound into your DAW.
@@nyppy thanks for clarifying 😍
Is it possible to achieve such a sound without using this device? For example, take a cello and throw distortion on it? Or is it unrealistic, since the device is exclusive?
There are endless ways to create similar sounds, and what you suggest would be interesting to try. You won't get exactly the same sound of course, but it'll probably still be worth it. :)
@@nyppy Thanks for the fast feedback!!! I can assume that my idea will soon be on your channel 😂👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Any idea how much this will cost?
Depends on the variant (Eurorack or desktop), region and local taxes, but it should be between 300 € to 400 € for the DIY kits, and somewhere around 550 € to 600 € for the assembled version.
Electrocution 🤪
