You‘re right. It‘s a cool version. But the guitar riff is not from Martin. It‘s from one of the Garbage guitarists. But hey… it’s a great song anyway ✌🏼

@@LZMN That's true, but the guitar riff is Martin's. And to be precise: he doesn't play it on a guitar but on a bass. But hey... it's fun either way ;-) Rock on!

Yeah, but everything prior to Enjoy the Silence and PJ was sampled, precessed and played with PPG EII (especially People are People and Never Let me Down Again)
I am sure since they went off sampling after Mr Wilder left, some post SoFAD riffs were real
I know, but I still love the riffs on the guitar. ;-) But thank you!
Minor nitpick - E-Mu Emulator II was Alan's sampler of choice, not PPG (which was a wavetable synth, you couldn't really sample to it) 🤷🏻.
Aktually , those riffs were played on the back of a burning lemur and the tapes were destroyed by a freak garlic hurricane.

Yes, that's a great melodic theme. But for this video, I tried to choose the guitar riffs, not the melodies. But they are great, too, in any case. Indeed.
Fun fact... I love the e-bow effect, but in our band, I play exactly this theme without the e-bow but with wah-wah. It's more rock'n'roll, I think... ;-)

@@reverend1015 Sorry... I am trying to remember... I played an AxeFx, but I can't remenber the Amp model I used. Something like a Fender... or the FAS clean model? Take a clean amp and give it a little bit drive for the crunchiness... and then reverb and maybe delay, if you want. Some compression before the amp is always a good choice. I hope I could help.
