honeymoon is so underrated
I'm really sick of people saying born to die was her best album. sure, it's the most pop. boo hoo. ultraviolence and honeymoon have elevated lana to a higher level of artistry where her writing is more poignant and honest, the production is cohesive and original, lana's vocals are a step more confident.... overall lana has grown since born to die, and shaped an identity and sound that is stronger now than ever. born to die was great, but ultraviolence, and now honeymoon, are truly worthwhile works of art.
It's the best album because because of it i know her and i have a lot of memories with BTD. but i like all her albums.
Born to die was the last one I heard, and it was the best. I feel she was the most natural there.

I've noticed something about some of her songs, including this one...her vocals are relaxed, "lazy", laid-back, slow, but the music in the background sounds like a very sad or "in despair" orchestral piece... like on the outside, she's trying to ignore and hide everything by taking it easy, but inside, there is sorrow and turmoil. Lana has blessed us yet again with another masterpiece. MTWBT is reminding me of Sad Girl/Trash Magic(pink flamingo) as well as BTD ERA vibes. It's like she's combined all the different eras in MTWBT plus that flute is slaying me big time and the drums during the bridge remind me of Hotel California. It's too beautiful and combined with her velvety vocals she's transported me into another dimension. Lana's vocals in this song are like pouring warm honey and cool lemonade into your ears. All in all I feel this song has cleansed my soul.

I honestly don't understand the people who are saying that they want "Born to Die"-esque new songs and then claim she's "going too pop" now. Newsflash: Born to Die was THE poppiest thing she's ever done. You kids needs to listen up on some music history so you actually know what you're saying. Everything she's done since BTD has gotten further away from the pop/hip-hop elements it had, with Ultraviolence being the most extreme example, being heavily guitar-based. Aside from "High by the Beach," this record is mostly jazz+chamber music, if anything.

People who say they won't enjoy some of her album are not real fans. This song is not a filler. Lanas music has always been a more somber, soft grunge, indie type style. People like Lana because her beautiful voice, not because of the pace of her songs. Lana is literally an icon, and a big one at that. She is a great person with a great voice, she has so much talent, if you say you won't like this album because it's a slower pace, so was ultraviolence. Her music has many different levels of fastness and slowness, she likes to mix it up, because she is creative and intelligent. So the only problem with this album is people like you who are too stupid to not understand she changes her style of music to keep people wanting to know what's next
Hey Other Lana Fans, let's please get Honeymoon to #1, preferably for two weeks :) To do this it means we have to go and actually BUY a copy of the album, NO FREE STREAMING. I know it's very tempting but every day I read another snarky article on her & her music from "journalists" and it's obvious she has haters Within the music industry, hence never getting any mainstream attention/awards and they still talk about SNL , that she's fake and her so-called "anti-feminist" statements, , etc. We have to keep Lana going strong and show they were wrong, and that she has 10 times as many fans as the press want to believe...that means spending a few bucks. Lets support her (and yeah I know getting #1 on Billboard isn't everything, and she could probably care less, but I mean just to piss off the haters in the media lol)

I think the main difference between BTD and her more recent work is that Lana is more focused on making an that is cohesive rather than individual songs that are single material. As an album BTD struggles because the songs (which I think are all great btw) do not fuse together, which is why critics were divided about it. Ultraviolence (and Honeymoon from the looks of it so far) is a cohesive body of work - and as an album it works far better than BTD. I personally prefer her later work because of this.

This is good. I like it, and I think it'll grow on me even more. I know that artists progress and their music evolves etc., but I just really REALLY want a super confident, booming track on this album that I don't think I've heard from Lana since BTD.
