Coffee, Meredith and learning ASL! PERFECT weekend 😂
YAY!! Thanks so much! Have a great week :D
The first name was really hard for me! I love your instagram- fingerspelling Fridays are such fun and I love watching the stories! thank you, Meredith!
Thanks so much, Bekah! Yes this was a tricky challenge ;) glad you enjoy Fingerspelling Friday!
This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I can fingerspelling fine but my receptive skills for when other people finger spell are awful so I’m trying to practice that. Thankyou!
Yay! I'm so glad you find this useful :)
I only wish you did it more often than Fridays!
@@taylordelorme5140 Ohh thanks, Taylor! I do appreciate that feedback! I don't know if I could come up with enough WORDS for daily! :D :D but I do try to incorporate fingerspelling in my Instagram story .. stories .. too!
Well I’ll keep a look out for your story then!
I know making these videos and making posts and stories for social media can be a ton of work, but it's nice to read how many people appreciate them and are learning from your videos. Keep it up 👍
Thanks so much for the recognition, Chris! Likewise
Love you both, 💝🎁💝 I've been learning a lot from you all, !!

Thank you so much for letting me know this format works for you! I'll try to do some more mixed speed receptive work :) thanks !!;
Yay! Thank you for posting this! I recently discovered your instagram, but due to the fact that I don't HAVE instagram this is easier for me lol.
You are amazing!
And I ACTUALLY understood what you were spelling :D You are my favorite person to learn ASL from because you will show it at different speeds and you actually will show HOW to properly form the sign or letter. Keep doing what you do because you are AMAZING!
Thank you so much, Raven! I appreciate your kind words and I'm very glad you enjoyed the fingerspelling challenge :) I'll see about posting a few more here on YT (or at least linked in my "community" tab - you'll see it if you're subscribed and get notifications) so those without Instagram can also benefit from them :) Thanks!
I really love your channel, I don’t have instagram, I love watching you on here, that finger spelling was so fast, I had to really watch the beginner one, I really hope I start to get this, I really love you teaching this, also side views help too. Thank you again, your teaching style is great!!
Great lesson! Thank you!

Ty 💝💝💝
thank you help much
Thanks :)
Thank YOU!
i love your channel so much 💗
Thanks so much for being here! :)
ASLMeredith 💗💘💕🥺
Hello thanks alot ☺
Thank YOU! :D
Hard to imagine that people can understand the fast speed spelling without many years of practice.. even at the slower speeds I was left in the dark. It seems like you would have to have a photographic memory to understand normal sign language spelling. The gestures are far easier to follow but still require rote memory skills. Thanks for your help Meridith.
Definitely beginners pace. Could identify all the letters just couldn’t see them in my mind to know what they spelled. Oops.
Good job, Victoria! Keep at it.
I was convinced I was seeing Jacqui wrong, because I've never seen that spelling. Lol tricky but teaches you to trust your spelling abilities I guess.
doubling the letters takes time to comprehend, but i will soon catch on.
Why do you double tap the letter N and slide the L for 2 L’s? I know the alphabet, but not sure of the differences. What’s the first name Jacqui, noticed below someone had said Jaqui?
Hi again Dean :) good questions! First - the first name is Jacqui, with the "C", you got it! As for the double-tapped letters, those are because the letter is doubled in the name! (SPOILER ALERT: ............. Marianne and Connell are the second and third names. Note the double 'n's and the double 'L'. Here's a Quora post that discusses double letter production: www.quora.com/When-hand-spelling-ASL-how-do-you-sign-two-of-the-same-letters-like-in-good-or-steel )
@@ASLMeredith Thanks for taking time to answer, was not sure if you come back to your old posts, but glad you did.
the contrast in the asl challenge part made it harder for me to tell what was going on
Sorry about that!
Rached lam Yes deaf ok ❤🤟✅
She is so cool,, iam learning to,, i would love u to do the sentences that we ask u to do,, what about that?
Thanks! If you have suggestions for specific words or phrases, you can submit those anytime to my form at: aslmeredith.com/request
@@ASLMeredith i will do that,, ,, meredith... Thanks
Did you fingerspell the names Jaqui, Marianne, and Connell?
I tried to give my answer before looking at the comments and description box.
After a few minutes I went ahead and checked the answers in the description box. I was able to read it at the beginning level. When spelled at normal speed it is still challenging. Hope to get better to read fingerspelled words. And signs, too.
Great job! Yes fingerspelling receptive skills take time to develop. That's why I show a few different speeds, so learners can work their way up. It also helps to -- after you KNOW the answer -- watch again at half and normal speed to see if you can spot it now, and learn to recognize how the letters transition more fluidly into one another during regular-pace signing.
Thank you, I will keep on working on that and practice to develop good receptivity skills.
🤔😁👍👍👍👏👏👏
Thanks !
if you are going to come and do this 👎don't come back. We DON'T need your bad vibes. WE love our teacher , and her videos are always welcome , and helpful 🤗

Lol reading Normal People, I see 😂
Was a really good book
Edit: just got to the end of the vid, and sure enough the names are from the book!

Did you watch til the end? I do 3 different speeds, and you can also use CZcams’s controls to slow it down further
