    Geese, I just had this surgery a few days ago and after watching this, I just realized I broke so many rules that I am shocked I did not end up with a problem. I have been careful to not put any stress in the area of my new prosthetics, at least I didn't feel like I was putting any stress on it but I was definitely doing many things you said not to do. Thanks for the video, at least I know to be careful about certain things now.

      Correct, that’s what occupational therapist’s are trained to do…REAL life solutions 😊. This is a PT video.

    Thank you! This is very helpful. Especially knowing way ahead of surgery to gain strength to use the body in new ways. Very helpful! Please ignore the ugly comments from people who want to blame others for everything. I don’t think they are making any helpful videos to share. 😂

    And if you are having difficulty wiping your bum from the back because of shorter arms, what do you do?

      I am installing a bidet. That should take care of most issues.,

    A couple years ago, I got a bidet toilet seat and it has been a life changer. another alternative to toilet paper is to go straight from the toilet to your shower, although that probably is not very hygienic

    You wipe from the back to front no wonder UTI's are so common!!!

    • @artnc4139
      @artnc4139 Před 4 měsíci

      You make a good point as the person demonstrating this is a man. Women have to be much more careful to not carry fecal matter toward their urethra in the front

      No matter which technique you use, the goal is to be finished (clean) before you stop! The UTI myth is an old wives tail, and you are a simpleton for believing it.

    You don't keep a straight back while craping. You're meant to bend.ylur back slightly. Look at the tribal rainforest people. They squat no hemorrhoids or problems
