I love my RHK as I have 5 currently. My latest was an eklipse harpoon tanto s45vn. I like my Xm-18s more. I love the build quality on Hinderer, very robust folder. Cheers!

Those thumb studs primarily serve as external stops for the blade instead of an internal stop pin

Aren’t the thumb studs prioritized as external stops for rigidity I think

I’m a big Hinderer fan I have 4 of them. I was like you and wasn’t sure how I liked my first one but it slowly grew on me and I fell in love with it. So far I have a xm 3.5 a xm 3.0 a firetac and a Eklipse 3.0. I think the regular size Eklipse like you have will be my next.

I thought the same exact thing why the heck is there so much difference in the hardware seems dumb to me so I got in touch with Rick hinderer and asked why all the crazy differences in hardware what’s up with that and while we’re at it what’s going on with that pivot he said it’s because there’s so many knock offs out there he said no lie I put a new design out and it’s on wish and all the Chinese sites within two weeks
