John Isner's serve vs Novak Djokovic's return
When the unstoppable Force meets the immovable object
Pay attention to Novak's returns, insane. No wonder Isner said "Novak and its not even close" when asked who the best returner on tour was
Did you miss Federer returning Isner's serve in the final?
@@badboy0607 what are you talking about? What does that remotely have to do with his comment?
@@gordo1191ederer beat isner in the final, the same isner that is in the video you’re watching
Christ why’d I waste my time explaining this blatantly obvious thing
@@MistahhMingusit was nadal but ok.
yes yes👍
I've seen this 25 times. It never gets old.
Thanks John! :)
1:11 That's one of the best crosscourt forehand winners you will ever see, Isner had to hit it as perfectly as he did to get it that flat and not go out. Brilliant!
Good One.
Jesus - thank you for pointing that out. You're completely right!
look at how Novak returned Isner's monstrous 120+ mph serves ... damn. And what a match this is
130+
@@dpa71999 140+*
140mph + (in the early 90’s 120 was a big serve) By the year 1998 Rusedski was at 149mph. By 2004 Roddick had topped 155mph!!!!
Isner would top that by 157mph.
Sam Groth’s 163 was a miscalibrated radar gun on the challenger tour. When Sam got his chance to prove on centre courts at Wimbledon and US open he could not top 147.
@@Zenoandturtle if he could hit 147 he could definitely hit 163
@@spencerrosant5794 thats the worst logic ever. U can't hit faster if you havcent done it already
Back then Isner was a weird combination of baby-faced and handsome.
You think he looks old now?
@@ExtremelySkilledGamer yeah, sort of. Still baby faced, but he's wrinkled and stuff now.
He almost looks undead in the thumbnail
inner has cute smile
do rallies look far smother and faster in older highlights than current ones to everyone or is it just me
Faster and lower bouncing courts
lol it's because of frame rates. 24fps vs 60fps. This video is smoother as it is 60fps.
@@matijacvitkovic3735 It's cos of the frame rate.
These courts r slower than most
TornSphyncter69 what are you talking about? The ball rarely bounces above Isner's hips and Djokovic can't get a racket to Isner's forehands. If it was clay court the ball would have bounced at least till Isner's chest
Del Potro Djokovic Indian Wells 2013 semifinals it's possible? So underrated match!
SABEEEEEE
Yes.. Massively underrated match...
Del Potro played high quality matches against Murray, Djokovic and Nadal in that tournament.
Isner and Karlovic are the type of player who don’t know how it feels to play a match with no tie break
Same with Kyrgios lol.
And tomic
😄😄😄😄
Opelka too
U forgot Feliciano Lopez
17:17 The ball boy throws himself to the ground when the ball comes to him lol
This was a fantastic match! Great highlights too. Please keep doing these all year round Tennis TV, give us something to watch while corona is here
When Isner is in his day, no one can break his service.
And even when he's having a good day, he'll be lucky if he can break anyone else's serve lol
Novak broke him tho lol
..except Federer
@@monkeyninja150 he literally broke novak in this match 🤣
What a performance of Isner. Love this match.
Gotta laugh at those who say Isner is just a servebot, he can play at a high level.
Finally somebody with same opinion!
@@josefmalina3273 isner prefomes really well, but people underrate him
Gabriel Vergara San Martín he’s an overall great player, with the best serve on the tour but his groundstrokes are excellent too
He almost beat Prime Rafa at Roland Garros. He's way better than Karlovic
stargazer99 that’s acc amazing fact considering federer never took nadal to 5 sets at rg and he’s one of best clay court players of 00s
17:15 Isner almost killed the ball boy
StoicalExpert43 Lmao nice eye
?
Lol
@Jamie E
Why
Hahaha so true 😂
The best current server vs the best current returner; amazing match.
1:14 the exact same "whoa" that the same commentator said when Roodick hit that insane forehand against federer in 2011
Great match from both players 👏👏👏👏 congratulations to john on this one
I just love John Usner..I hope he wins a grand slam one day..👍
Finally some good quality highlights of this match!
Why is Nole trying to play lobs vs a guy that reaches 3.50 meters when he holds his racket up?
If you watch closely you will see most of his lobs were played from very precarious positions, with the ball behind him. Not a lot of time and space to set up for a proper passing attempt.
@@Editor_Hound thnx. I think he sometimes has the possibility though and He could have played some dropshots as well. Isner was a beast from the baseline and tall people like him and me dont like to bend forward
Ive seen that 5 times and it always gives me chills!! I would like to see a magical run by Isner soon ....
That last ace made the most satisfying sound I've ever heard from a serve.
This match was so hyped I love it
Best performance of isner’s life
First.
Tennis TV lmao
😂😂😂😂😂
Not fair mate
Lol
One of the biggest upsets of all time in masters events. Djokovic was 1.02 when a break up in the first set with isner 25.0. My mate told me to put 2 quid on whilst we were in the bookies. I didn't do it but what a huge upset.
16:20 fortune favors the bold
I was not aware of Isner ,till I watched a short video, love and respect for him

I remember watching this match..Isner was simply brilliant 👏
Close the match with an ace. Fantastic
12 years later, Djokovic is still no.1. It is just crazy.
Isner is the serve bot I most respect because he actually tries to work on other aspects of his game. Hes had a really great career despite his height being a disadvantage for tennis.
idk y but this satisfying match made my day
Congratulations Isner., Great, great job and thank you.
The biggest server against the best returner....incredible game !
man if isner played like that today with that footwork and all i think he could reach top 5
Djokovic has improved his game soo much now. Some of the points which this Djokovic lost, the current Djokovic would just cream it through
@doblealpa 2011 djocovic: am i a joke to you?
@@tommyspina6302 He said 2009 to 2016 lol but yeah peak Novak was 2011
Thank you Tennis TV for uploading old matches! Can you please do the same for Miami in the next two weeks?
Came close to repeating the feat 2 years later
John isner's serve was not that good on this match but he played amazing from the baseline
Isner‘s serve was not that good? Are you kidding?
Wow .. what a service.. 👍💪🔥
One of the best servers against one of the best returners. Djokovic is one of the best breakers in the world. I think Isner holds a record for most aces in a match, 112. Still not easy if you"re playing against a guy that makes 0 unforced errors in a Wimbledon final...
You should do the Federer Nadal semifinal of 2012 too
Never understood why so many people call Isner a pure servebot.
His forehand is pretty good and his net game is solid as well.
Legendary Match 🎾💚
Love these highlights, keep up the good work !!
Nadal vs Karlovic QF 2011? Please!
Watching these highlights, you can see what Djokovic does better nowadays. For one, he is a better striker of the ball. So many shots in these highlights, he was either late or just not taking the ball as early as he does nowadays. A small difference in position for when he is hitting some of the shots. His balance is a little better. Overall, the small differences really help.
This guy, coaching Djokovic. Lol
Charlotte's Head no bloody idea what you’re talking about.
He plays smarter true, better service better shot placement, etc. However, his balls are too weak.Rarely he produces a strong winner. Many young guys who was on his day with enough consistency beat Djokovic of 2018-2019 because they played power game and Djoko was always in defence. Very efficient but overrated. 16th and 17th slams were out of his hands in finals, gifted by the opposing dumb player
Wreckless G mostly gifted by his dumber opponents? Doubtful. Djokovic most of the time puts himself in the right position. But furthermore, he plays it more central when compared to Federer and Nadal, so he won’t gift as much space. But furthermore, by putting opponents into more uncomfortable positions or situations more often, you’ll find that anyone would start gifting more errors or sitters. That’s just the norm in tennis. He just does it incredibly and efficiently well. That’s the optimum way to attack in tennis- put them in positions or situations that they don’t want to be in, make them hit shots they don’t want to hit. Forget about winners or errors, and just make them uncomfortable.
@@JiraiyaSama86 efficient true but you sugarcoated well. He is a baseline bot, ugly to watch, 2018 -2019 version is fully defensive only waiting for opponent error. Fedal might be more prone to him but he doesn't have an answer to a consistent 1st strike tennis. And he can't do that any more. Not that he was a striker anyway save 2011 and here and there. Pity since 2017 next gen couldn't step up otherwise there was no Djoko with 17. Really weak era. Nadal is a bad match up to Djoko that's it but Nadal never has had a weakness to youngsters. He can still play aggressively, indeed, he developed his game into such. Fed is always Fed, attack tennis, but now he is too old. 2017 Fed at 35 yo would have crushed this Djoko even best in AO. Even grandpa Fed crushed Djoko dreams in ATP finals when he was dying to finish no.1. Efficient but overrated.
good beautiful battle, Isner was very strong
My God for a man 7ft tall, Isner can play at an amazingly high level!!! Took Rafa to 5 sets at Roland Garos!! Something Fed couldn't even do!
This aged well. American Taylor fritz takes down Rafa Nadal in 2022 Indian wells final.
Match point finished with a brutal serve
Could you post entire match Isner-Mahut at the 2010 Wimbledon Championships?

Very satisfying 😃
Kinda sad that you get happy because someone loses.
@@sergiosarmiento4371 but someone won too
@@hobingbing7477 I know, but given that 2 of the last 3 comments of this guy in this channel have been about criticizing Djokovic or his fans, I don't think he's satisfied because someone won this match, I could be wrong though.
@Angelous Bacon no need to throw insults, I'm not sensitive, I was just expressing my opinion, if the guy came and said he's original comment was because he was happy about Isner winning then I would gladly apologize for the misunderstanding.
@@sergiosarmiento4371 I think he meant the sound of the ball is satisfying

Pure class !
3:55 that smash tho..Novak was like 😳
Btw I'm a Novak fan ✌🏾🔥💙
Isner played the match of his life to beat nole.... well done big boy
17:19 The man behind Djokovic is soooooooooooooo afraid of the service which Isner hit and gave😂😂😂😂😂
Please Tennis TV do FEDAL SF of this same tournament!!
Luckiest day of Isners life
You get the feeling Isner is like a better Karlovic. Hard to play when you're that size, but Isner had both the serve and the ability to still play on a pretty high level
Wonderful. Didn't know isner beat djoko
Tough match for both players. Isner at his pick should have beaten Nadal in his pick in Roland Garros 2011. Who remembers that match?
Novak may be a good returner but in the end he still lost to Isner a 6 foot 8 massive server
If Isner could run left and right like novak, boy he would be unbeatable by the top 3!
That was Isner serving 90% of what he could
del potro federer 2018 next please
Why am I watching this from 2012,oh yeah Corona virus!🥊
Highlights Shanghai 2019 Doubles Please??
Laganezi najjaci igrac ikad
Lol he almost killed that linesman with that last serve
Am a NADAL fan here when i first time ever saw isner play tennis i thought its Fernando torres playing tennis the ex Spanish football player
Now I wanna see isner vs djokovic in basketball
He was in a little slump after that big win AO 2012.It was noticeable also in 2019.
Not even comparable to 2019. He won Miami that year
Haha novak was sooooo tired after that incredible AO 2019 final! Lol
Angelous Bacon agreed, noletards such as my friend Ciprian can’t accept the fact that the other played better. Always an excuse.
@Angelous Bacon don´t even try it, Djoko fans will always find excuses.
@@ferguson7128 still less excuses compared to fedtards and rafatards.
Big John!
The ball boy in the far right @ 17:18, haha.
Lol the person is a ball girl
One of my non Federer containing best matches
Isner is the only servebot thats not a servebot
10-2
That girl in the backside get scared 🤣🤣🤣from isner serve
I can't believe Isner actually used to play like this. These days he can't even sustain as 3 shot rally lol
This match shows why Isner is not a servebot.
Read the sponsor on the net
No, no it’s everywhere
I can only dream of returning Isner's serve from the baseline. Djokovic gives no fucks when it comes to returning lol
Lucky tennis from isner
Nadal vs Tsonga 2008 next?
Whoah!
I need help from some Djokovic fans. I am a Nadal fan. In some other video of Federer, I mentioned it is a straight shootout between Nadal and Djokovic to become the greatest. They started saying Sampras is better than Djokovic and if I argue I know nothing about tennis.😂
That’s a video appreciating Federer and you go and hate on him. Serves you right. I went on a Sampras retirement video once and in the comments section all I see are Federer fans talking about Federer instead of the player the video was honoring. Ugh fans like you are the worst
@@deand.l.2049 video appreciating Federer is fine. But ridiculing Nadal and Djokovic is not done.
Hope you understand the subject. What's your IQ?
TheKaustabh probably a lot higher than yours
@@deand.l.2049 ever given Mensa? How much did you get? 100? Or even lesser?
12:03 Isner could have easily stuck his racquet out and hit that
Yeah, but who let a passing shot go by and thought afterwards "damn, I totally could have got to that!"
@@Ihasfinger911 everyone would if they could've reached it
@@XxMaplerzxX who hasn't* is what I meant to write...It's early
@@Ihasfinger911 some players leave passing shots because they think its going out but it turns out to be an error in judgment. Other times they simply couldn't get there in time because the passing shot was too good, in which case they wouldn't be thinking that they should've hit it.
@@XxMaplerzxX Yeah man, I am "some players". No need to over explain.
watching isner actually sustain rallies is so weird
When Isner serves, everyone else plays dodgeball
