Jude 1:6-10 - The Dangers of Apostasy (Part 2). The greatest threat to the Church today is not physical or political persecution. Instead, Jude warns the Church to beware of apostasy, which leads us away from faith in the real Jesus. At the root of apostasy is Satan and his work to try and destroy God's plan of salvation. Apostasy takes many forms like exalting our will over God's will and acting hyper spiritual to compensate for a lack of real faith. Jude warns us of the HYPER SPIRITUAL BEHAVIORS of the APOSTATES
"...Those who walk according to the flesh, in the lust of uncleanness, despise authority. They are presumptuous and self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries (high ranking spiritual beings), whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord.
