@@robfinlay8058 You do not just turn up and cover sports. Rights are negotiated and we live in a different media landscape than then. I was mentored by many of the people you may have seen on World of Sport or Grandstand at the time. I am now a commentator in the USA but I absolutely promise you there is no mileage left in returning to a Grandstand or World of Sport type show. Though I would say I think the standard of sports journalism was higher then.
Happy times of being 5 years old. Reminds me of being at my now late grandparents house. With Dickie Davies saying its nice to be back probably Fred Dineage was hosting as he was 2nd choice then
