I can't think of a better tribute to Foxy's legacy than a fund named after her that will help kittens like her who have unique medical needs. Even though her life was short, you gave her the love and special care she needed to live it to the fullest.

What a beautiful, heartfelt memorial for the little one. What a personality she had! I love that she could not bite and still believed she was ferocious. I completely get how empty life would be after spending so much of your daily life tending to little Foxawoxa, and enjoying her being. I think we all felt that she would be staying with you! She belonged in your family.

You were so devastated, it came through even on video. I am so glad you have reached a point you can do this. You are always going to have a hole in your heart for this baby you put so much love into but she also put so much love into you. How you spoke about Foxy is how I felt about my kitten. I don't even know what happened to her, she got out and the weather is getting colder and colder to where I don't think she's alive anymore. I wish I can...grieve properly too or know how to remember her by. The only way is just watching all of your shorts over and over again
I was heartbroken when your vid dropped about her passing after she had been doing so well. She was such a little sweetheart living life in the moment. It's a wonderful thing you guys took her in and gave her the love and support she needed to live her best, fullest life as short it was.

So so sorry for your loss Mary. You did everything you could for her. I unexpectedly lost my 9 year old void boi in July and it was ROUGH. I rescued a kitten not too long after he passed (wasn’t planning on it so soon, darn cat distribution system 😂) and as much as I LOVE my new graybie, he still isn’t my little void. Sending all the love to you and Foster dad ❤

So sorry about Foxy.
Reminds me of Finnegan - we got him at a year old, and he had a bunch of allergies but we’d figured them out, we’d found a food he could eat, we’d got him the right medicine, he was gaining so much energy and he was FINE… and then one early morning while he was sitting next to my dad, he suddenly squeaked and just fell over and was dead. The vet said probably a stroke, that it just happens sometimes… but he was so young and we’d barely had him a year and only just figured out all his allergies…

I’m only now watching it because I wasn’t ready and all I did was watch videos of her, so for you the loss is much greater and yet you still put this together for her and for us. I can't imagine how you must have felt seeing her there, because when you broke the news, I couldn't breathe. All I did was sit and cry for a good 20 minutes, for a kitten I didn't really know, other than she was on my 'must watch' list. She made me smile every time I watched her videos. She was just so cute and adorable. It was easy to see, too, that she'd caught your heart, just the way you spoke about her, and the way you acted with her. She was going to be a foster fail, no doubt in my mind about that. I'm so sad she's gone, but thank you, Mary, for sharing her with us. Thank you so much.
I lost my foster kitten Davina the same day you lost Foxy. She was with me for 5 wonderful weeks and she was so so lively, so active, playful, loveable and just…my favorite. I would’ve kept her if she had made it. But she had an infection in her lung with lots and lots of gunk. She died in the clinic under anesthesia when they tried to save her. The doctors thought that she would make it because she was so active.
her passing destroyed me. she’s also the first foster kitten I’ve lost. I’m still heartbroken, but the next kitten are already here and need me.

I'm sure this was hard for you to make. It was hard to watch all the way through. Foxy was a delight to watch and the way she made you smile was just as awesome. Thankfully she was loved enormously for her entire life. Extra cuddles to your home crew, especially Bobbie and Brita. ❤
I (kind of) know the feel... I lost four cats in four years and the hardest ones were the most surprising. One died of a several month battle with cancer and one lived to be around 18 years old. But the two difficult ones were the shockers and I mourn them every day.

foxy had an absolute dream of a life for her short time here, she clearly was so happy and joyful and full of life
she had so much drive to play and adored other cats and people
she was so unbelievably loved
a part of me just wonders if there were underlying internal conditions that went unnoticed do to have little she was
obviously she had an underformed jaw but its possible that was just what could be seen
its just so strange for her to have passed so suddenly and out of the blue, i hope perhaps your vet or the specialist may have been able to provide some sort of reason so you at least could have an answer as to why
either way, foxy was one of those kittens who shook the internet and she will always be remembered and looked upon fondly

In watching her four videos here, it's clear that she was going to be yours forever from the offset. It would have been wonderful if it could have been here on earth. But at least you know she's a little guardian angel for those kitties who get helped in her name.

She opted not to do a necropsy, and had Foxy cremated.

I'm so sorry for your loss of her and the time you didn't get to spend together, and so grateful for how you enriched her life in the time you did. Thank you for sharing her with us, with the way she captured my heart via the internet I can only imagine how amazing she was in-person. The sudden loss of her is tragic, but she'll live on through you, your viewers, and the cats to be helped in her memory. ❤
(Side note: it really really warms my heart to hear you were thinking about keeping her had this not happened. It says so much about the bond you had with her and how special she was that you, someone who fosters and helps kittens for a living, wanted to make your home her forever home. She lived such an amazing life, and if there is a rainbow bridge I'm sure she's there waiting to welcome so many other kittens and cats with her taco tongue out and the kindness you showed her in her heart)
She was a beautiful little soul. I firmly believe that people (animals) come into our lives for a reason and that reason may not be obvious. But she really touched your live and soul.
I wasn't sure I would be able to watch this, but I'm glad I did. Foxy was an amazing little girl, who had so much love and joy. I'm sure that a special surgeon could have at least put her jaw back in place so she could eat and groom herself, but even if that weren't possible, she would have had a wonderful life with you.
I lost my baby girl a few months ago and she got really sick out of the blue and before a week passed, she left us, I was full of rage and sadness bc i did everything in my power to save her and she just died out of the blue, sadly I had a negligent vet in my area who didn't help her and I lost her the day after I went to see the vet for the second time, just like Foxy she will be remembered fondly bc of all the good moments I spent with her. She wouldn't leave my side her last days 🥺. I miss her so much.
I miss the videos of Foxy. You could see her spirit and the bond you both had. You gave her the chance to live her best life; it was just too short.

That little baby was the cutest little thing...she looked so pitiful while and after she ate, but you got her all chunky she was so very precious. Its amazing how many tiny creature babies God put down here for us to ALL know the feeling of empathy and LOVE(people love is different, its wonderful to). I just cried my eyes out-ran my makeup grrr! I avoid sad videos because obviously no one likes to cry, but i've got to say my heart feels lifted some how and I believe thats all due to YOU and how you just explained to us all just how wonderful that little baby Foxy was and ALL her cute little ways, you have a beautiful soul my friend, thank you!

I totally get why Foxy hit as hard as she did. She seemed to be absolutely thriving. The only thing I wondered was if she was gonna be foster fail or not, or how much her quality of life could improve from the specialist. It came out of nowhere, and it was obvious how much you cared about her. She was a unique, spirited young soul who will be missed terribly and remembered fondly.
Thank for sharing that adorable crusty face with us. I don't know how it's possible to fit such a huge personality into a tiny little gremlin body. Her legacy will be amazing. Sending love to you Mary and everyone at Miss Dixies, you're all incredible humans 💜

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of Foxy. She was amazing. She was so sweet and I love how she loved everyone. I had a cat that was the same colors as her down to those blue eyes. I named her Sky. And she too was everyone's friend. She never met any one she didn't like. She was also very polite and oh so sweet. Losing her was the worst day of my life. Foxy is a sweet angel now ❤😢
