What a bullshit. I drive cx5 2023. super comfy, enough power and gas efficient is totally ok. Super quite and solid car.
Handling, quiet, better interior quality, and reliability outweighs the cons. RAV4 is loud and dull handling, a boring drive. Different people have different preferences
I recently bought a CX-5 Carbon for these reasons: a real transmission (no cvt), no turbo, great steering response, tried and true engine design, proven reliability, size just right, no need for roomy back seats, no interest in towing, luxurious interior, just enough tech, very reasonable msrp.
One of the best looking and reliable suv!
One of the competitors probably paid this guy to make this review. A very bias video focusing only on the cons. It has more pros than the cons you mentioned and is still worth the money.
OK. I wanna buy an unreliable CVT transmission suv instead. Thanks for your advice.
Not sure about the accuracy of this video. The Mazda cx5 is a beautiful vehicle. Lovely to drive , great interior , features and very reliable.I would rank it above the Crv and Rav 4.
Non of these 6 reason is enough to tell people NOT to buy this great car.
I thought I was going to get 6 real reasons it was deal breaker. Instead, I get complaints about engine power, fuel efficiency, lack of towing, lack of touch screen preference everywhere, lack of space, and prices. I thought it was more serious things like reliability issues - none of those mentioned. We went ahead and bought a 2023 CX-5 slightly used for a $10,000 discount under MSRP (3000 miles on the odometer) and the wife loves it. We even get better gas mileage than stated here, averaging about 25 mpg in mixed driving. The engine can go 0-60 mph in 8.5 seconds which means it has the power necessary to merge in all traffic situations (the turbo is 6.5 seconds which no one needs unless they plan to race it).
Exactly, how old is the toddler doing this “ review?”
Wonderful suv, reliable too
Stated of by saying no crv (transmission) option / if it’s anything like Nissan’s crv you don’t want it - this video appears to be competition driven - ie who would use this crossover to do serious towing?
My 2024 2.5 S Select non turbo gets 33-34 mpg on the highway and 27-29 city legit. His criticism doesn’t wash in real world driving.
I don’t see a lot of Rav 4’s, Sportages or CRV’s towing anything around. In fact, I never have. Who cares?
The cabin is quiet. Drive a CX 5 and then a Rav 4….’nuff said.
I don’t care about hauling cargo or people around. It has enough space to do the basics. It’s a freakin compact SUV. Fact is, the difference between it and the others is minimal. If you want space, buy a bigger SUV.
The interior is hands down stylishly luxurious compared to the competition, some of which are out and out clunky.
Lastly, drive the others and save the CX 5 for last. No comparison in the “fun factor”.
Mazda CX5 is the best interior, exterior, performance as well reliable car
Oh no, this is the perfect size for my needs. Crv is too big. Sedans are too small. Cx5=just right. Many standard features others don't offer unless you go to a higher trim level & more $$$. There are MANY that love the cx5 & that is proven by its number of sales & being 1 of mazdas best sellers for a VERY long time. So I TOTALLY disagree with this analysis.

We get an overall 36MPG from the 2 ltr model. Where did you get those figures from?
Start with the fact that it does not use a CVT transmission - reason enough to choose it over a Toyota. Unless of course you plan on replacing your transmission later in the car life or just not keeping your car for more than five years.
It gets the same gas mileage as last generations RAV4 and honestly it is an older car platform however you don't buy this vehicle because it's the most spacious or the best on gas you buy it because it drives like a car and not just any car but a really good car it's actually fun to drive The Toyota and the kias have literally zero driving character second the interior is a class above at least to and it's Lexus quiet, so if you can give up a little gas mileage and you don't have to have the biggest vehicle, also it has classically good looks in the same time frame Toyotas been through two generation RAV4s the same thing with Kia One of the key is I thought looked really good I think it's the Sportage but now it just looks average and tacky they managed to make this car look good without any sort of body kits or add-ons or cladding just pure body lines. this is not a sports car or a high-end luxury SUV, it's just a really nice affordable SUV with fun handling remember these things start at $28,000 and you can get one well equipped with mini extras in the 32,000 range it's a lot of car for the money it's why I will be interested to see us replacement It may or may not be as nice Go look at a Subaru that's $28,000 let me know how loud it is and what the interior quality looks like it's a fine car for the money actually it's a really nice car for the money
How much was the payment? 🤣
Great suv
I was waiting for functionality reasons that may prove unreliability.
Wrong! CVT is not as good as a traditional good designed 6 speed transmission, it sure cost less to make for menufactory!
Toyota spend 5 times more on marketing than mazda
Thats why
Standard RAV 4 only tows 1500 lbs
I leased a 2024 CX-5. I Love many aspects but the infotainment system doesn’t connect well, can’t rely on it. Will NOT be keeping because this is just a constant daily Frustration
I have a '24 CX-5 that has wired Apple CarPlay. Before I got the SD card, I would sometimes plug in my iPhone and sometimes not. I experienced issues with nav, phone & text features. I soon got the SD card and disabled Apple CarPlay. My dealer told me to be more patient and wait 1 second after the beep before speaking, to stop looking around at traffic as I spoke and to stop speaking like a robot. Some combination of the above solved all the problems (except I still cannot compose a custom text via voice recognition). Perhaps this will help you.
@@greeneyesms thank you, I am going to go to the dealership and have them thoroughly go over everything
@@greeneyesms what sd card? the navigation one? my trim doesn't have carplay, i use an aftermarket wired one. i'd love to switch it to something wireless though.
i am buying a 2024 cx 5 carbon, getting it this Saturday , 2000 off invoice and 0% 36 month financing!
I drive a 2023 CE edition...I love it. I just feel good whenever I get in my car.
you'll love it! i got mine in january and it feels so luxe.
Gear shifter lever looks ugly outdated
The truth is that the fuel efficiency of RAV4 cx5 and crv are the same on REAL road. Because they are SUV!😅😅😅
What’s he talking about that it’s auto as it he likes CVT. This is a very opinionated incorrect subjective opinion. No integrity
