Holy shit. I can't believe they actually played the Unnecessary Censorship *at* the dinner. That's hilarious.
Holy shit I can't believe that you are ignorant
Holy shit, you should go back to the 2006 when Steven Colbert was invited and bashed Bush for an awkward 30 straight minutes
Drew SHUT THE FUCK UP
Me too! Kimmel is crazy 🤣🤣🤣
@@HighBrowComedy yeah. I know. Colbert spoke truth to power. Kimmel was just making crude jokes. Acknowledging both things are not mutually exclusive from one another.
"Look its Chris Christie...GET HIM!!" LMFAOOOO
“It’s one thing to oppose gay marriage, it’s another altogether to do it in a sweater vest.”
david mcdavidson hahaha!
+david mcdavidson can you explain it to me? i'm german. i dont get the joke although i can understand the words. he is against gay marriage but whats the thing about the sweater vest?
+DoN253 Heterosexual men generally dont wear sweater vests, not in the U.S. anyway. So it was funny he was opposing gay marriage in a sweater vest. ( :
+DoN253 Jimmy Kimmel is implying in a humorous manner that it is odd that Rick Santorum opposes homosexual marriage when he himself looks like a homosexual.
@@dropndeuces82 oh wow... what an idiotic comment
"I'm about to high five the president of the United States. Eat it, Mills."
That was the single greatest line of the whole performance. Every one of us had a teacher like that, and the best of us learned to devote our entire professional lives to flipping that teacher the bird.
Look, it's Chris Christie....GET 'EM! lmao
Jimmy did a really good job on this one.
I beg to differ. With all due respect- Jimmy Kimmel a shallow man and not really funny, just a liberal with a bloated ego.
@@drinkmoreorganicplants9459 Well you're entitled to your opinion. Even if its wrong
"Mr. President, y'remember when the country rallied around you in the hopes of a better tomorrow? That was hilarious."
Great Chris Farley tribute there!
I hate it when people can't laugh at themselves at these kind of events. You would look much more dignified and a lot less uptight if you at least cracked a smile at your own expense.
Makes me think of Donald Trump. If you watch some of the videos from the 2011 dinner, he gets ripped to shreds by the President and Seth Meyers. You can't see his face too clearly, but what you can see suggests that he is pissed. Which makes it that much funnier. :D
DreamsGoneToDie and, spoiler alert, he did not even show up in 2017 😃
(Yah, I just watched that and came back to watch every year corresponding dinner.)
Right. Everyone’s literally getting grilled. I have a hard time with jokes & I’d even laugh because in the same moment everyone else in the entire room is gettn it too lol
I like the 'please don't kill me' aura coming off of Jimmy the whole time
Kimmel absolutely SHREDDED this one. The best host in my opinion.
+Derek Rogers ....see Colbert. He ripped Bush right in front of his face non stop.
+Derek Rogers Yeah, IMO nobody can touch Colbert's roast.
Colbert did have an amazing set, but I think it's in a set of its own - being the only one to play against the crowd. For the rest of them, Kimmel was excellent, and check Craig Ferguson's for another great Correspondent's Dinner.
Hell no. Craig Ferguson, Conan, Colbert. Kimmel would be close to last.
U must Seth Meyers
Cover your ears, if that is physically possible Mr. President
The first lady laughing her ass off just made it better.
Best of Kimmels comedic performances. His writers and his deliveries are amazing.
the ron paul scooby doo joke tho, lmao
Wow I didn't think anyone would come close to conan but kimmel did really well.
Semilore Olusa
this is better than conan
OmNomNomNomNom Not in my opinion but you're entitled to yours.
Semilore Olusa
no shit.
OmNomNomNomNom Alrighty then. Have a good day I guess.
+Semilore Olusa Craig Ferguson is much better than Conan.
"EAT IT MILLS" that was one of the best.
eat it mills
Erik Axzell I
"16 years ago, a tweet was something Barbara Walters gave her dog." LMAO
Jimmy Kimmel crushed his delivery....he was authentic and confident...with witty material...and he read the room well. Some others appear to just be reading a tablet left on top of the podium whereas Jimmy seemed to know his material inside-and-out, and was very comfortable in the spotlight.
Definitely. I didn't know how to put it but you summed it up perfectly. His cadence was natural and not stiff. Which makes it a lot funnier and less forced
Asking Sully Sullenberger to be a designated driver for Lindsay Lohan is hilarious!
Ones I love: Conan O'brian, Seth Meyers, Wanda Sykes, and of course Jimmy Kimmel.
+AmethystEyes Same with me :)
+AmethystEyes Nothing beats Colbert in my opinion.
+jfaulsti10 Except for the 4 that Amethst listed.
J
AmethystEyes Colbert
John Oliver to host the next WHCD !!!!! Who's with me??
Sounds good.
+Applehead feather Terrible idea, John Oliver is a fucking idiot. His thick-rimmed hipster glasses and radical liberal agenda don't make him intelligent, right, or wanted.
+Maloney Bologna agreed!
+Maloney Bologna shut the fuck up
+Maloney Bologna His Cambridge university degree does though.
The C-SPAN camera work never ceases to amaze me.
I think by far Jimmy Kimmel has done the best in these WH Correspondents' Dinners.
+Dabket3araB Colbert
+Baxa KK Mchale
Dabket3araB Conan!!
Seth Myers dude hilarious
Dabket3araB conan was better but still he was very funny
I love how deadpan Jimmy's delivery is throughout this whole thing!
Wow he did a Ricky Gervais at the Emmys. He roasted everyone. I'm binge-watching correspondence dinner speeches and Kimmel is definitely the most "edgy".
I think a lot of commenters are really underestimating the level of seemingly life and death political tension and general uncertainty post 9/11. As a liberal you could ostracize yourself by not being openly patriotic. The word "patriot" was used more than "snowflake" is now. Even MSNBC fired 3 different hosts because they didn't support the Iraq war. In context and in content, Colbert exceeded edginess. It wasn't a clever roast like this, or like Gervais at the Emmys (who I love), it was shocking, true satire, and people still ask him about it on a regular basis. With Obama, it was totally different political climate, and thank god for that. If Trump would actually show up to one there might be another shot at being truly subversive.
Cicely Strong
His adorable kids were still in the cabbage patch.
Erm... Colbert?
@@newwavenancy America in the post-9/11 cultural dark ages was a definite "You had to be there" time in history to understand. It's like the 90s were an extended period of collective joy-teals and magentas and Michael Jordan-and everything just went wrong somehow. Nobody smiled. Nobody laughed. The most sadistic piece of torture porn ever committed to network television was the number 1 show on television and Kiefer Sutherland was a secular Jesus among Republicans for playing Jack Bauer.
If people think America's moving toward authoritarianism _now_, if they think "cancel culture" is out of control...it's got nothing on a time when performative patriotism was demanded lest one be branded an outright terrorist.
For Colbert to shatter that entire cultural illusion in one brilliant display of subversion and speaking truth to power...I don't frankly know how he was able to walk off the stage with such enormous brass balls.
Mr. President, Salaam.
lmfao!!!
One of the smartest comedians EVER right there. I enjoy every minute of hearing him think outloud
"To me Ron Paul looks like the guy who gets unhooded at the end of every Scooby Doo episode"
🤣🤣🤣
I've never even seen Scooby Doo and that was funny. It also cracked Obama up pretty hard.
Should have ended with "apologies to Matt Damon"
"Aren't all marriages gay?" was the best line IMO
The Rick Perry part of the Unnecessary Censorship was the best. "I stroke your balls, you stroke mine." I lost it. :D
And "Mr. President, Salaam." Mere seconds into his routine and he's tearing it up.
Still my favorite routine in the Correspondents' Dinner. Kimmel is a great comedian.
It is really good in terms of the roasts! However, in my humble opinion, Kimmel rushes a bit with the delivery.
Colbert was (to me) in that regard better, Conan also.
“Look it’s Chris Christie get him” I’m dead 🤣
I wanted the Obama joke to continue
We all need to stand together whether we are black like president Obama, or white like president Obama..
Whether we are Christian like president Obama or Muslim like president Obama.. Born in the US like president Obama or born abroad like president Obama..
Olive Garden State = win
I've watched a few of these and all I can say is that some comedians just have it.
He tore them apart, what a great piece of political comedy. Brilliant!
The rush limbaugh burn at 10:00 was savage 🔥
Kimmel is a savage but Conan is king
+MrSting17 totally disagree kimmel was great but conan was even better
15:56 LMFAO The Barbara Walters joke had me crying. I wish he took more pauses to let some of the jokes sink in.
It took me out!!!
Barbwa Wawa didn't seem to like it, haha
@@lordemed1 She was smiling. She can take a joke.
Loved all of it, but the last 6 minutes was my favorite! Some great questions asked throughout. Love Jimmy Kimmel. (And telling your history teacher to 'eat it?' Perfection!!!)
It's difficult not to have some jokes flop, but he did a good job leaving them behind and moving on.
I hate it when people can't laugh at themselves at these kind of events. You would look much more dignified and a lot less uptight if you at least cracked a smile at your own expense.
That seal team 6 Denver nuggets joke was as brutal as it was clever
Could u explain it?
black basketball players and kardashians.
that mitt romney joke at 17:45 was so good 😂
Funny and true! 17:34😂😂
"You know, it's one thing to oppose gay marriage; it's another, altogether, to do it in a sweater vest."
Best line ever.
The Mitt Romney / Monopoly joke was one of the best! "he kept trying to put the dog on the car". LMAO
ahahah the joke about dubai giving out complimentary white tiger cubs was funny!!!!
"The people who watch Bill Maher know he's an a**hole." What a great line.
Mr. Mills, I am about to high-five the President of the United States. Eat it.
Best high school rebuttal ever.
Just revisiting for nostalgic and enjoyment purposes. Stellar, Jimmy. 😁
I see why Trump wouldn’t ever attend one of these dinners.... his small ego would NEVER make it through the laughs
He was in the audience once and the host (Seth Myers, i think) tore him a new one. Trump just radiated seething rage and hatred.
@@shadowcat1606 only a hateful person will say such a thing. The greatest President TRUMP, ( I am a democrat )has done more for this country than any of the Bushes, Clinton or Obama. President TRUMP radiated true form and courage , changing our economy that is the envy of the world, the only President who did not take a paycheck - the only President almost crucified by the media and the lying democrats in Congress for doing his job. Your eyes and your heart walking deadman19 is the only one seething in rage and hatred...these dinners are a waste of time, only serves the egos of attendees like the Romans of old before their fall. Democrats for TRUMP 2020!
@@drinkmoreorganicplants9459 that's the saddest, most pathetic attempt at a trolling i've ever seen. And on youtube that really says something.
Unless you're serious, in which case you're an obvious example as to how medicare under Trump fails horribly, because you're what happens when people can't afford their medication.
Drink More Organic Plants telling the truth isn’t a great thing here...
He sat there at Obama's 2011 Dinner, took it with composure, and then he went took that man's job, the most powerful position in the world. If that's not the biggest dick swinging move, idk what is; he doesn't have to attend after earning that Xbox Achievement
Kimmel makes my top 3 hosts with Conan and Cecily Strong (I LOVE HER). Honorable mention is seth meyers
Kimmel the best one after Conan
wanda sykes was awesome to
Lol ya ok . Horrible compared to Letterman or Carson
I stand corrected. The best line is, "16 years ago was a long time ago. There was no Facebook, there was no Google. And a "tweet" was something Barbara Walters gave her dog." This time I did go back so I could quote him as accurately as possible.
Kanye West.
Donal Trump.
Someone's roasted at a Correspondent's Dinner and they file a nomination for the President of the United States.
I love that at the end"eat it Mills" lol
Best moment at 21:50. Totally off the script, and from the heart.
"Mr. President, Salam."
The unnecessary censorship was F-ing genius
I didn't think I was gonna watch all of it. You're a good showman Jimmy.
He fucking nailed the delivery on every joke
Joke of the night...if it wasn't so true: "This is really incredible, what a collection of people here in one room. We have members of the media, politicians, corporate executives, advertisers, lobbyists and celebrities; everything that is wrong with America is here in this room tonight."
I think Ferguson, Colbert, and Kimmel were the one's that were actually well-received, but that's no surprise, they're all hilarious :D
"No matter if you're black like President Obama, or if you're white like President Obama" LMAO
Jimmy kimmel is a great guy and funny, love you jimmy.
The balls on this guy...
miklas1911 that's why we love him
miklas1911 never criticizes Democrats....so ballsy
he look very nervous hahaha
Yet he fucking nailed it.
man he destroyed every body. he was awesome!
Kimmel is a brainless Zombie.
Jimmy Kimmel is a legend for this! Thank you, sir!
Jimmy Rocks! Thanks for posting this.
👀 Bravo.......love the old school roasts Jimmy
"Everything that is wrong with America is here in this room tonight." loved that !
i love the skit at the start it was priceless!
Oh my this was so funny thanks for the upload
All the Hosts have been great! the It's nice to see some laughter and a President who can take the punches to say the least, but also dish-out shit well deserved too. LOL..He is a great President,Father and Husband. He truely is for the middle class and the un-fortunate people here and it's a joy to have a true President at your back as much as he can.
Love Christie. He is game for everything.
That scumbag has a good poker face huh?
lmfaooooo god damn the christie bits and the joke about print media was killer
Starts at 2:30 hope this helped 🤠
Agreed!
I think Bill Maher or Bill Burr would be great for this!
I think he did it in 95
This is so disappointing. I don't know what you guys are talking about. He doesn't take any real shots and a lot of the jokes are recycled or just chuckle stuff. It isn't bad, he is funny, but it's not at all like conan or maher or colbert. colbert's was actually incredible.
Agreed, one of the safer monologues, a lot of cheeky one-liners but nothing 'savage' as some commenters are saying. The best performances are those that make the crowd shuffle in their seats
@@pattypaan because more than half are algorithm comments
Any real human will acknowledge which are the real deal like conan
Haha I love when Eric Stonestreet stood up :)
this was hilarious. poked fun at everyone. and actually raised some serious notes while remaining funny.
Conan was good, Kimmel did the best Wihite house Correspondents dinner yet... Hope Louie CK do it some time :)
Kim Håkansson well now he’s never gonna do it 😶 John Oliver would absolutely murder this !
Louis C.K. doing this gig would have been like that episode where he opened up for Seinfeld at the benefit in the Hamptons
Kimmel is a brainless Zombie.
I don’t know why but this just always cheers me up when I watch it 😂
Best one yet
Solid.
Love Jimmy
Seth Meyers was better last year. And frankly the Obama's speech was funnier than Kimmel was.
that Current TV bit was awesome
Jimmy kimmel is the best!
At 2:43 he like totally passed up the pres, giving barely a thought to the handshake...dayum
Phillip Guetterman Yeah, but he got a high-five. That counts for something!
He has an amazing pace.
He should of asked questions at the debate
if you think he killed it, look at Conan's speech.
jimmy did great. made fun of both sides and really had some good jokes in there
I completely agree.
a tweet treat
There was a lot of truth in this speech. He should have gotten more laughs but it hit too close to home. Thanks Jimmy, for saying what a lot of us were thinking.
