Hi, I'm watching a couple of videos from you, i'm wondering if you could clean the particulate pressure sensor to prevent them off failing, i have a Renualt Talisman with the R9M engine and a while back cleaned my map and maf sensor by just spraying brake cleaner and let them dry off, and the engine did perform mutch better. Thank you for making these kind off content, it helps alot to understand how the dpf system works and to prevent problems and what to look for when problems happen. Greetings from Belgium!!!

if BISHOP BRENNAN turns up with a diesel minibus full of NUNS.
    DON'T CALL HIM 'LEN'

The Nuns are just resting in his minibus account.

Have a p2456 code on a skoda supberb
Looked it up and apparently its common after a timing belt change .
Looked further and found whoever did the belt was rough with the pipes of the dpf and broke the lug of the sensor

I just got my timing belt changed and when I got it back yesterday it was throwing this code. Can you explain more about here the probly could be?

@@KingJelly-4122I have a Seat Leon 2.0 FR TDI 64 reg, EA288 Cupa engine, and this is exactly what happened to me. Cambelt and waterpump was changed, but the DPF pressure sensor pipe is clipped onto the cam cover, and to replace the Cambelt and waterpump, the DPF pressure sensors needs disconnecting, but because the pipes can be brittle anyway, and some mechanics probably try and save time and push them out the way instead of removing, the little pipe on the sensor breaks off and your sensor ends up being burnt by the heat. Mine was half burnt off after a 20 minute drive home.

Is that still the Lauch machine your using there.?

Only one pipe from the dpf on this differential pressure sensor. Presumably it uses atmospheric pressure on the second sensor pipe some way to determine pressure differential in the dpf?

Left sensor is DPF and has 2 pipes, right sensor is EGR and has 1 pipe.

I have this engine in a golf. Dpf sensor only has one pipe from the dpf connected to it. The other pipe on the sensor is open to atmosphere. Both sensors are exactly the same on my car anyway with only one pipe from the Egr and dpf connected to each sensor. Looks the same here. Interested how this works and usually you’d have two pipes from the dpf and the sensor reads the differential between before and after the dpf. This set up only has one pipe to the differential pressure sensor?

I have a 2019 Superb, 2.0tdi which is throwing up a P2002 code quite often. The dpf is not blocked and the differential pressure is ok. Regen's are fine and regular.
No codes for blocked egr cooler either. Car runs perfectly.
I'm replacing the G450 sensor first just in case.
Can I clean out the pipes to it while it's off by pushing a length of wire down them?

    • @MaxMoment2023
      @MaxMoment2023 Před 11 měsíci +1

If you have a scan tool check the differential pressure readings on the egr pressure sensor G450. I had the same code. Car driving fine, but when I looked at sensor live data it was miles off in negative values. I replaced this sensor for a genuine one and the differential pressure readings were then fine. I didn’t need to clean the pipes. Worth a check

@@MaxMoment2023 can’t be right as it’s not measuring against atmospheric pressure it’s measuring pressure from upstream side of dpf to the downstream side hence 2 pipes, we have the same car audi a3 8v and it has 2 sensors, left sensor 2 pipes, right sensor 1 pipe.
Not doubting you but does seem odd?

Morning my dad’s vw Jetta 2014 2.0tdi dsg has a P2196 O2 sensor signal stuck rich biased code a local garage has replaced the o2 sensor but the fault keeps reappearing after 150miles of driving could this want the dpf cleaning any advice would be most appreciated thanks Nathan.
