Many good decorating ideas here utilizing contrasting materials and muted coordinating colors. I especially appreciated the vintage refrigerators and the copper edging shown on one of the counters. I see this type of video as simply displaying interesting decorating inspirations and mostly do-able 'projects' for most individuals more than exact duplication in entirety for one's own kitchen. Obviously chandeliers, yards of curtains, open shelving (in those dustier locations) may not work for many people. But oh! they are so beautiful! Thank you for a nicely done video, I really enjoyed it!
All the real old farmhouses I have seen had cavernous kitchens with tiny enameled sinks , handmade cupboards and a slab of white marble on trestles for a work space, and maybe a rickety table and chairs for the family to eat on during the cold months. There was little to no decoration, sieves, ladles and other utensils and food were kept inside the cupboards away from dirt and vermin; sometimes bundles of herbs or garlic or cherry tomatoes or salami would be hanging from the rafters to cure. Preserved food was kept in the cellar.

Real farmhouses did not have crystal chandeliers, farmers were lucky to have oil lamps or a single light bulb hanging from their ceilings.

i loved these kitchens. reminds me of my grandmother and great aunt's home with mismatched tea cups and saucers for afternoon tea. As for the music, turn the sound off...people always find something to complain about... I say, can you do better?:)

Loved the style of the kitchen. Hated the music and the unfocused shots in between couldn't watch to the end.
I wish the whole 'eating island' fad would go away. Feels like you are eating in a diner. How refreshing to see table and chairs where people can look at each other and converse!!!

@@Elizabeth-rp1pi Any house can be get a reno so doesn't mean much. People have been living in homes for a couple of thousand years so even 45 years is a short time. Whether you want to agree it's a trend is up to you, but they have not been around as long as tables and chairs. I have noticed people TRENDING away from eating islands recently, though.
