- "Fantasy is the most enduring genre of them all," explains five time Nebula and Hugo Award-winning author Robert Silverberg. Silverberg discusses great myths and stories of the past, from Gilgamesh to the Odyssey, and how they have inspired his now-iconic works, including the Hugo Award-winning novella Nightwings. "My sense of what the ancient world looks like has allowed me to create future worlds that have something ancient about them yet something ineffably strange and futuristic." Learn more about the author who joined the ranks of fellow science fiction Grand Masters Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Robert Heinlein, Jack Williamson, L. Sprague de Camp, and other famed writers.

Absolutely classic modern-age (20th century) SF writer though I never got into his novels starting with LVC but before that I'd say his body of work was among my favorite in the genre.
