- My extended remix to the amazing theme tune from the 80's cartoon The Thundercats by Bernard Hoffer. Not too much was messed with as I wanted to keep it as close to the original version as possible so new beats or anything. Tried to make it sound as close to the original as possible.

one of the best American choreographed animated tv shows from the 80's. A collaboration with Japanese animation studios...any coincidence why this was so awesome? Love this show eternally.

@@yazajag Fun fact - ThunderCats, the 1980s version anyway, was actually produced by, of all things, *Rankin-Bass Productions.* Yes, *THAT* Rankin-Bass Productions. The same guys who helped Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer storm the airwaves in 1964.
I remember when it went completely downhill 1999-2000. Introducing... POKEMON the tv show!. From that point on no cartoons have been good.

Watching the show again, it's amazing how well it holds up. They really tried their best to create actual characters out of the heroes and make them relatable on some level. Lion-O's situation (going from 12 to 18 while in a suspended sleep and now having to learn to be a leader) was a brilliant way to allow life lessons to be inserted into the shows without them always feeling forced.

That and Silver Hawks and Tiger Sharks and The Mighty Orbots, they had gorgeous opening animation intros combined with upbeat and catchy theme song that have never been surpassed by anything since!
Few other 80s cartoon theme had this kind of driving energy, that "Thunder, thunder, thunder, Thundercats" build up is still so perfect.

One of the best cartoons series ever made. The 80s was the best era in terms of quality. The 90s was not as good but much better than most of what we have today.

I'm a 90s kid myself... but I have mad respect not only for the stuff from my era but the 80s as well I mean anyone who saw shows like this knows what Im talking about. Despite not having the resources that are available today they managed to create legendary content but nowadays animation is so simple it makes it look like modern technology is a step back in evolution... ugh I really miss the high detail in the classic stuff

I'm a 43 year-old Gen-Xer, and this brings back some real memories. You're right about kids today not knowing what's good on TV. Well, almost. See, I have a lot of Thundercats episodes that I taped off of TV, and recently converted them onto DVD. My two kids love them! "Dad, how come they don't have Thundercats (Or Silverhawks, or GI Joe, or Go Bots) on TV today?"

Thanks a lot bud, this is kinda the main tune that got me more into doing stuff like rare tv and movie stuff, i still do remixing for new music but this is way more satisfying to do, much more appreciation which is great but if it isnt available then seems more worth while doing those tunes that have longevity for a reason... coz they're awesome!! lol

It was about time, since they've already made, other 80's animated cartoons into movies. Such the lights of Cobra, Transformers, etc..
