I am beyond excited to finally be able to help you guys and I truly do apologize for taking so long. I should have been posted this video. I have been asked about my marley hair a TON and I never knew what made it so different from what was originally packaged, but I did cover a few of those topics during this video. You can NOW twist and hold YOUR marley hair in order to get the same exact results, but be sure to comb or brush them out a bit first! There is a difference, the original pack of Marley hair was softer and lighter.
The newer Jamaica Marley is a little less soft.
The main difference is the older hair would get messy within 2 weeks of wearing the hair style and it could be straightened using heat. The newer packs don’t react as well to heat. I personally prefer the older packs which are discontinued sadly.
I hate how the new hair doesn't respond well to heat!

Jamaican twist is the only Marley hair I use. I believe they had to drop the " Marley " after being sued by Bob Marley's family.
Ok, I always wondered why it was gone. So did you try the marley prior? If so, did you notice they went thinner on the strands or is it just me? Lol

I curly mine with hot water to match my texture but i cant seem to get it to keep the curl over a few days 😭
Do you use any product on it? I would expect hot water to make the curl stay especially if it's twisted and left to dry completely.
No i don't use any and thats what i thought i still cant figure out why the hair doesn't stay

I heard there was an issue using “Marley” so they had to change the name. I heard this from the store I use to buy from some some years ago....
Someone else commented saying that as well. I had someone from DC comment and say their beauty supply stores stopped carrying the texture completely!
Channing Lilly by they way... I did your ponytail with the bands with the same hair. I prepped it like this an hour before. Didn’t have much time cuz I was running late for a bridal shower. At the end of the shower the bride-to-be said, if she didn’t know me she would have never known it wasn’t my hair. The twists helped blend it perfectly.
