Hey Flossy, I just got the Redmi pad pro, basically the same thing, and i love it. Like you say, realistic expectations. It does what i need it to do and does it well. Got it for £250 including the case and noise cancelling earbuds!! Very happy. Great to see a real reviewer giving it a real world review and not comparing it to something much more expensive.
Probably Wiz Khalifa's favourite tablet (because of the packaging)

Definitely gonna keep my eye on this and the Redmi one. Coz i currently got some old as hell tablets i use. I only ever go all out for my phones.
Got an old iPad that i think is from like 2013 and then i got an old Samsung tablet from 2018 both on their last legs. been meaning to upgrade but none of the recent releases tempted me coz i don't really wanna go all in for a tablet (I'm a cheap mf lmao), i think mid range is the sweet spot for tablets especially since i use them mostly for drawing in my spare time and just as media tabs not for any heavy duty productivity.
The oneplus pad also tempted me a bit but that one if i remember correctly was above mid tier pricing so would likely have to wait for a discount on it for it to come into mid range pricing.

I think for most people, especially with iPad 10 price discount, once that iPad 10 goes on sale for under $300 that is the one to get for basically everyone since you don’t have to worry about developer support. Biggest issue I had with my Samsung Tab S7 when I had that a few years back.

Watching this even though I just traded in my tab s6 lite (2020) for the tab s9 last week lol.
I like that it has LDAC and AptX Adaptive BT Codecs. It’s hard to find an affordable tablet with these.
When you do Tablet reviews especially mid to budget-range tablets can you do a ebook, PDF test? I and many others use tablets for reading ebooks, ecomics and magazines. If you can download a 200mb pdf ebook and see how smooth it is when scrolling, would be GREAT. I can send you a link on where to download some ebooks if you need.
Do you know how long will they do software updates?

Two weeks ago I bought the Xiaomi Pad 6 (not the Pro) for less than $250 and for that price there's no better tablet.
I was considering the Poco Pad but it was more expensive and I really wanted a powerful processor, even if the display is a bit smaller (11").
