- So you're creating some lore, and things are going well. You have ideas for your world and story, but there's just one thing missing- a character. Specifically, yours. But how would you even go about turning yourself into a character, or even making a completely new character of your own? In this video, I'm going to get you started on creating an engaging, realistic character for RP and lore.

Recently, Minecraft lore has become much more popular due to influences from popular CZcamsrs and Streamers such as Karl Jacobs, Ranboo, and TommyInnit, and especially thanks to projects like the Dream SMP. Maybe you want to make lore for your own SMP, or you're just trying to add a little something to your singleplayer let's play survival world. Either way, this video will give you the tools you need to start turning your ideas into a story.

I’m going to be in a lore smp series so I really needed help with my character. A streamer only picked his mods and me with the people in his discord to be in it. So I’m one of only a few to be in the series. We also live in a nation called treetropolis

I’m looking for a lore server to join, if it’s possible, I’ll share my character.
Owl is a ghost, they are fairly simple. But have a odd personality
They don’t mind crowds, and are very extroverted. They don’t have a specific gender, and their backstory is fairly simple.
They used to be a Enderman, named Elu. But when a friends dared them to eat a chorus fruit, they teleported into the void. Clearly dying.
They have a strict loyalty, and will normally pick one, or 2 people to be loyal to, and be friendly to everyone else.
If I join a server, here’s some info. 12 years old. And don’t have disco. So I wouldn’t be able to Vic, sadly.

My character’s Main trait is that I am arguably insane, which is fun
One of the Characters I mentioned Main traits is that She is very Manipulative and Sadistic,It is so much fun to create a Story for her
I play D&D for years so i know how to RP but the video is still very good.
I am going for a genius character that is very rational but do not understand morality except for its reason for why it evolved in the past.
Personality:
Good traits:
Smart,
calculated/rational,
detects inconsistencies easily (can't be fooled or lied to easily),
iron-willed (most effects of mind control works less unless the effect makes my character take the rational choice)
Knowledgeable: know magic, physics, maths and most fields of study to a master degree
Curious: wants always to know more
Neutral traits:
Cold: can't understand morality and emotion beyond it's benefit in evolution and manipulation
Value of knowledge: my character value knowledge and wisdom more than any amount of money unless the money can by said knowledge or wisdom.
Bad traits:
Hates stupidity: can't try to explain a concept or idea more than once to people if they didnt understand because of their lack of IQ or knowledge that for my character is easy to understand.
Manipulative: can and will manipulate for personal gain.
lack of mortals: Wants the best for themselves and believes in "the goal justify the way/means"
Backstory:
Scholar: my character was a child of a rich family, they had no faith in my character to be a success, but as my character grew on because lack of compation form my character's parents my character didn't know mortals or love, but they exceled at all fields of study (rational ones that is) and at age 14 already finished degree in all the rational fields of study, including theoretical magic, but wasn't the best in practical magic, but was good because the knowledge but performance also requires natural skill that my character didn't develop yet)
At age 16 my character and their family got robed by wizards, and the wizards used hipnosis to control them, my character felt a need to give all their wealth and dark secrets, but my character unlike the parents resisted, it was irrational to give secrets, especially political ones, the wizards threatened they would kill the parents, but because my character don't have morality and the parents was no use, my character ran of and let the wizards kill the parents. If the parents had connection or love for my character they maybe had the value to take the risk, but the risk of losing precocious secrets of the family that can ruin the reputation (the parents deeded not my character's) and what will my character gain? Life with parents who didnt care for them. Saving them is completely irrational considering the my character had enough of a name to start a life on their own. And now they got the the army and claimed the ranks as a wizard, then when the war started, my character was called for the war meeting against the new classified unknown threat. (The start of the story)
Desire:
Discovery: my character wants to learn all there is, wants knowledge and wisdom.
Control: my character wants to make sure they in control enough to stop the world from crumbling to ash, and enough influence to get the resources for their study, they need control on the right people.
Safety of knowledge: they want the place they in to be safe enough to store all the knowledge my character have and to protect it.

thanks for this. after watching the outsiders smp i now know how i can make my dream of being a youtuber become a reality
also for my personality i decided to make a more fun but foolish version of myself. basically irl i am a fun bundle of joy at all times unless i need to be mature. i just throught the mature part out the window and what im left with is. fun. quiet, foolish bravery. and cruel (cruel because regularly i think of how i can commit arson without getting caught)

As for my main character, he's a subversion and twisting of myself... not me, something roughly based on me and built upon. Like me, deep down he's a big old softy, very emotional, and socially unaware. Unlike me, he's determined, brutal, efficient, and unwaveringly ideologically locked, to his own detriment.

Hulo! I know I'm late, but I just wanted to share my Minecraft lore character. He's a serial killer. Not a psychopath, he knows what's right and wrong, he's just a nihalist who doesn't care either way. So he murders because he sees life, and therefore death, as pointless! Sorry for the rant, I'm just really exited. Thank you!
I have been told by one of the people running the server I’m on I can start lore. Everyone seemed excited so I’m doing a dream SMP kinda thing, it’s a classic and I can take basic pieces of it. People have something important, it gets taken and a war starts. Stuff like that. You really helped with how I wanted my role and character to be. Thanks so much! 😊

Very useful for servers like Iaddithis and Stoneworks, both worldbuilding servers (Iaddithis is better tho lmao)

I think i will make a smart (when i said smart i mean Science guy most because i am a chemistry,math and biology nerd ) characher and loyal also kind, the problem with the smart is he often will put the emotions aside and, keep it away, inutil it blow, (i prefer call him a villan), also he will be controling, he nows that things can be solved by mutiples ways, but he still prefer, use the casual mode of doing things, it may look like he is paranoic ( i am not in any lore server right now i really want to be in one so of you interested in my Character talk to me also i have much more to tell about my Character )

I could imagine a characters that has twisted moralities, deceiving others to get what they want, spreading lies, but maybe it's to protect someone or something. Maybe they're keeping a secret they don't want anyone to know as to why they will instantly help whoever threatens them.
