After defeating the Elite Four again, you’ll take on Lance, who also has an improved team. Salamence will use Shadow Claw to more easily land a critical hit and Rest to restore its HP with a Lum Berry taking effect for once. Gyarados will use Thunder Wave to paralyze the target and Waterfall for a 20% chance of making the target flinch. Garchomp will use Swords Dance to sharply raise its Attack stat and Outrage to repeat for 2-3 turns before becoming confused. Altaria will use Double Team to raise its evasiveness stat and Perish Song to make all combatants on the field faint in 3 turns. Charizard will use Flamethrower for a 10% chance of burning the target and Air Slash for a 30% chance of making the target flinch. Dragonite will use Safeguard to prevent status problems for 5 turns and Draco Meteor to deal massive damage but sharply lower its own Special Attack stat. Think of a whole variety of moves you can use for this battle.

I reached Lance completely deathless with my team of Feraligatr, Crobat, Ampharos, Scizor, Mamoswine, and Houndoom, all at Lvl. 61. Thought I was gonna have the champion in the bag... then out came a Lvl. 72 Salamence. Knew it was over immediately

My team literally had: Ho-oh : lvl 73 - Typhlosion: lvl 57 - Dragonite: lvl 56 - Mewtwo: lvl 73 - Ampharos: lvl 51 - Tyranitar: lvl 58. I dont know how i even did it with a underlevel team (expect ho-oh and mewtwo) but it took like 25 tries.

Guys, I've just destroyed lance's team with my Lugia level 72... with only Lugia.... it was thanks to the ancient power that increased his stats, and Lugia just destroyed that Garchomp and the Dragonite.
Lugia is just too broken.
If you have pokemon heartgold, I really recommend you to catch Lugia before rematch the Elite four.
Lugia is INCREDIBLY STRONG
