Ark Survival Ascended: Alpha Megapithecus versus Rexes

Time to fight the Great Ape! These rexes are easily strong enough, but the saddles are poor, including some primitive ones. Will we prevail?

Melee: 800-1000%
Saddle Armour: 58 (plus four primitive)
There are two breeding lines of Rexes here, my first with poor base health and melee (37 and 38 respectively) and my second improved breeding line with very good health and melee (51 and 46 respectively).
