Will you post an analysis of the cost differential between a past traditional fertilizer program and your current application of the Johnson-Su program? I can appreciate that even with a lower yield because of moisture constraints, a lower input cost could/should point to either a profit or a smaller loss than with the past traditional fertilizer program. Thanks!!
This is my first time planting Milo. I drilled it the first of June into the dust. 30 day's later i received the first rain and it was fairly timely after that. I applied a organic fertilizer that was blended for hay. It was heavy with humates and I applied it 3 times. Milo looks great but the smaller off shoots are still green. We have had 2 freezes in the last week and i am hoping that kills it and it's going to dry down soon. Not much if any Milo is grown in north central Indiana, at least in my county. Keep up the good work, like your videos they are very informative.
Great video It’s good that you and your dad can farm together Sorry your fall crops didn’t come out like you hoped. That’s the hardest part of farming for me is when you do all you can to make I crop and Mother Nature has other plans Take care and stay safe
Great video thanks for sharing setbacks/ unforeseen circumstances. Just curious, what did your complete digestion report show compared to before you started applying the compost extract? Everything I’ve seen and heard on the subject, also mentioned using the cover crop to boost photosynthesis for the microbial life. Sounds like it just might be taking a little bit longer to get started. God bless you and your family!
What are your thoughts on a trace mineral program like Sea-Crop or rock dust as a supplement to the soil microbes until they can get better established?
This year it seemed to be the same. It’s hard to compare because I’m using no phos 1/2 the N and Johnson sue Most my neighbors are using higher amounts of n and phosphorus
Like the Kardasian twist haha
Thanks

Very Good. Keep us informed, I really like milo as a crop, we also leave a little for the pheasants-they appreciate-it.
Spot On!!

I receive your blessing!
I need to do a follow up test on the complete nutrition digestion this spring to see how much we have changed things

What yields are farmers that don’t use johnson-su getting? same, worse, better?
