Pete definitely did on purpose. He knew from scouting reports it was Masyn Winn debut. Plus all fan reaction and ovation over a bunt single, it would of been obvious to Alonso. The biggest giveaway, is when Pete threw it way up in the stands. Most times, players just flip it the first 5 rows. By him throwing it up that high, he knew the dugout couldn't just step out to get it.
From the look on his face, he didn't give a crap. Nice attitude. Same from the fan. This is where we're at nowadays. God Bless!

He obviously realized it.. you dont just throw a ball into the stands from that far away + that quickly after someone just got on base
It happens all the time. When a ball is taken out of play, as when it has been hit, they give the pitcher a new ball. Ever been to a game. They toss those into the stands plenty.
And people are confused as to why he gets hit so often.

One must be an absolute fool to think Alonso did this on purpose - an absolute fool. lololololol. What do you call them? "A brain fart" or something like that? Everyone has had one - yes, even you - dozens of times in your life. The Rookie got the ball back. Everything is well.
Contrived controversy. A player made a mistake. It was fixed. The player apologized and sent the other player a token of appreciation. That people are trying to pretend this was some calculated malicious move is just stupid ... and kind of sad.

How many times? All the time. When a ball is put into play it is generally taken out of the game and the pitcher gets a new ball. No different from when a pitch gets into the dirt and the ump swaps it out. Throwing a ball into the stands when it is being taken out of play is completely normal.
I feel bad for that young lady. She did nothing wrong and got strong armed by security and fans. Lame
