Years and years ago I worked for a Chinese restaurant. The owner would make authentic Chinese food for their family there. Occasionally us non-Chinese workers would be included. The owner made this with a chicken she made. Only difference is they added garlic. Instead of her putting it in a pan to cook. She would pour the hot oil over top ... It was sooo delish. I have used this for years as a dip for my chicken . Thanks for sharing this.!!

Whenever I make this cause I would add some garlic too and my son would name it "Mommy's million dollars sauce "and he would eat it spoon after spoon.
You can also add some diced shallots for a deeper layer of flavor. This sauce is simply delicious!! Try it on shrimps, shell fish, or lobsters. Delish!!!
