Allstate is horrible. Got me and my family for 10k on a roof. Refused to pay after a major hail storm. Said the damage was considered wear and tear over time even though it all occurred in a span of ten minutes. Liars and con artists is what they truly are.
I´m 45 and just got this Allsatate unlicensed job in cdmx. I didn´t go to college,but I speak some english, so this is the best option for a competitive salary I can get. But, Im a kind of frustrating because I realize now this company has a very bad reputation between their customers... I´m so sorry about the bad experience the people are going through and I don´t like to work for some one is cheating, but I need this money
I have a current claim open with Allstate for storm damage to my roof. Its been a horrible experience dealing with them to say the least. While my neighbors around me are getting brand new roofs I am arguing on phone with Allstate.
Here the same so they found damages, but they only paid me enough to cover the deductible and for them to keep 3% so basically it just balanced out I receive zero dollars and now I’m stuck with thousands of dollars of damage after hurricane in Texas
Customers are not in “good hands” with Allstate. Only Allstate is in good hands with Allstate. I will be in good hands with a public adjuster...that is my next step and the only way to get my home repairs done in a timely and proper way. Our pipe leak was on Feb. 9th and the tear out was done on that same day. Allstates adjuster reviewed the damages on the 10th but still hasn’t even given me an estimate for repairs...today is the 20th. When I got an estimate for repairs to my floor from my own contractor, Allstate asked if I thought the labor on that estimate is high. And I am told by Allstate if I have the floor repaired Allstate might not approve that cost. So now I am looking into hiring a public adjuster because Allstate has no regard for their customers. It’s not my fault that they can’t get their own adjuster to give an estimate for my damages. They are putting their incompetence on my shoulders. My patience is not unlimited...this is unacceptable!
I’m about to cancel Allstate. I paid my policy in full then a month later they would charged me a couple of hundred dollar extra for no reason. Asked my agent and they said because of a policy change when I never asked to change anything.
Hi. Allstate agent here. We do not make any changes to policies without consulting our customers. My guess is if there was sudden increase in premium during middle of your policy term, one of your discounts fell off. I would call your agent again and ask for detailed explanation.
Nor to mention you're more likely to get better service from GEICO. BTW, per the latest Consumer Reports article on auto insurance which I literally received yesterday, the only carriers ranked lower than Allstate were Kemper and Liberty Mutual.
I went over to state farm. Alstate goes up on your price for no reason and without notice actually they suck and their safe driving ap interferes with the computer on your car. Bad news buyer be ware. They seem to want to pay these big movie stars to advertise for them ,you know ( Mayhem) I bet that guy makes a mint.

HELP! Can you PLEASE explain to be exactly how the Drivewise Insurance billing actually works? It's my understanding that you pay a bunch up front, then as the months go by when Allstate uses that up-front balance you paid then, they will automatically deduct the NEXT bunch of money without notice... or there is no way of knowing what the current 'balance' is or usage or.... Thus my confusion! Any help with explanation would be deeply appreciated! (Been loyal Allstate customer for decades, but that no longer seems to matter.)
I'm debating between Geico or Allstate for my new home in Texas. Allstate seems like the better deal, especially with an auto bundle, under 200 for full coverage on both policies! Hard to beat that price!
You just have to look at the policies. Do you really want all states named perils coverage which mean it has to be named in the policy in order for it to be covered, or you can go with another company that might be higher but will have a policy that is Open perils, which means everything is included in the policy except for specific exclusions. Also Allstate does have a depreciating roof schedule, which means over time they devalue your roof. An insurance company is in case of emergency and you don’t want to wait for a claim to have the best..
Honestly Idk Allstate could have some other policies or renewed them so I would just ask them about that, but the best ones to compare would be Allstate, Farmers, and State Farm. I haven’t researched GEICO though… so I would just ask to see each Dec page if you could get a copy and that would show you everything. Good luck! And don’t worry the best thing is having insurance!

Interesting review - Allstate was founded when an insurance broker suggested to the president of Sears that Sears might make huge profits selling auto insurance through the mail; this was when they were in the middle of a bridge game on a commuter train. One of the very few things I like about them is they were one of if not the first to offer partial automatic rebates on auto insurance premiums when the COVID pandemic was peaking. Personally I'd go elsewhere - in 1997 I signed up with them out of desperation due to skyrocketing rates from Travelers (was working off an accident. Literally a month later the person who recommended Allstate and her agent to me got sued by Allstate regarding a legitimate homeowners claim they had filed - this is after decades of life, homeowners and auto coverage with them and premiums paid up to date. It took protracted litigation to get this mess cleared up for her & her family even though she was fortunate to have an uncle by marriage that was an attorney; as soon as they became AARP eligible, they switched all their policies over to those sponsored by AARP, saving a bundle. Actually, I've been around the block a few times and I have yet to have known anyone personally that when they had a claim involving Allstate that there was a favorable outcome - and the agent who sold me my Allstate policy later left the company a few years later, forming her own independent agency - and sometime later, the agency owner did likewise, going the independent route. In 1999 when my risk level dropped I switched my insurance over to State Farm and am with them to this day - they seem more competitive anyway.
NO YOU ARE NOT! I bought a policy through all state, and I was not in good hands. They cancelled my policy before the first bill was due and kept the 300 dollars I paid to start the policy. Now they say they sent a packet with information to fill out, I received no packet. They canceled my insurance, kept my money but are saying I still had coverage for a month, though I didn't? either way I bought a 6 month policy, got coverage for how ever long they claim, which could not have been more than 2 weeks. I went to pay my first bill 2 weeks early, because I'm trying so hard to get my life together, and be ahead of bills, like a responsible adult, but it's impossible when you live pay check to paycheck, and half the companies like this are a scam, and literally steal money from you. I could use that money for groceries or rent. Why do they get to keep the full 300 for a 6 month policy when i didn't even get a whole month? How is that not theft? and why is a billion dollar company fighting tooth in nail when they are clearly 100% vin the wrong to keep a poor persons 300 dollars for a product they never received? if this is how business is done in america, don't do business with american companies, our version of capitalism is a scam designed by the rich and greedy companies! My Gieco full coverage is $662 every 6 months and Allstate is $775 for same insurance for 6 months.

State farm does the same thing. I just left state farm for allstate for that exact reason also. But hope it works out for you!
