    I love that movie - criminally underrated at the time of its release.

    Looking back now. He was wrong there because Big Trouble in Little China is far more loved than his Elvis movie. It's an iconic movie

      Seriously, Elvis is one of his only films I haven’t seen. Matter of fact his only carpenter collaboration i’ve never seen either. That’s not to say I won’t ever see it or have no interest, quite the opposite, it does just go to show how his popularity/role as a somewhat “cult actor” evolved over time.

  • @Zero8880
    @Zero8880 Před rokem +6

    Kurt Russell is correct. He has never taken on a role that would become bigger than himself. Movie Stars of that era didn't have that issue bc they were always working on new and varied projects. Stars like Tom Cruise, Arnold, Brad Pitt. It's more difficult these days do to the ubiquitous nature of comicbook movies. As great as the current generation of starts that we have are, many of them will always be tied with their Marvel counterparts. like RDJ and Iron Man.

    The movie was great , I remember when it came on *VHS, it's was a riot. Kurt talking about sequel, well it's a shame. The US did not like it a lot, in terms of box office. But I would have like a another film. Go Kurt!

  • @fredchester921

    What kind of Chop Suey mess...?? Yup, that was a cringe-worthy and racist comment, folks. But don't think it ends there. Wygant used the identical phrasing with her interview with director, John Carpenter. Premeditated. But this lady was already pretty up there in years, and trying to stay relevant. I bet she didn't even care for the movie. Sad.

      Calm down. It was the 80s. It’s not a Bobbie type of movie 🎥 but that’s ok, it’s for a new generation and it is a modern classic. Good thing Kurt understands the❤movie.
