We are back game hunting at the Southeast Game Exchange Convention in Greenville, South Carolina! Today we hunt for the weird and obscure video game items at the con and we find a ton including the most obscure video game console I've ever seen! Always on the hunt for retro games, vintage toys and 80s / 90s nostalgia at Flea Markets, Thrift Stores & Garage Sales! I also own a retro video game store, different than yours we have people pay to come play. We have about 35 tvs set up and have almost every gen console (missing commador 64) and 7000+ games to play 600+ board games, vr, pc gaming. It's a ton of fun. Glad I found this channel!

I received that exact killer instinct snes set for Christmas as a young boy in the 90’s. My parents actually took the game away from me because it was “too violent” 😅.
Thankfully they didn’t throw the game away and I’ve kept the set all these years. It now proudly sits in CIB mint condition in my collection and will never be for sale. The memories are worth far more to me than the set ever could be.

Are you going to have a website for your new store? I called them last week and someone said they'd get back to me but never did.
We will be selling on whatnot online but as far as our own personal online store, not right now…maybe in the future!
I would assume he is still getting the store together so it would difficult to do a website when he is still establishing himself. Be patient.

I have a couple of Zelda games for Phillips CDi. I have never seen the comic books. Now I'll have to go try and find these comics. We never got those comics here in the Ozark Mountains.
The PS1 educational games were how I personally discovered the Sony Playstation before it's commercial release. My aunt worked for a public school, and Sony sent them out trying to get schools to incorporate them into their lesson plans. I played these games for a whole summer and loved them. I'd tell my friends about the Playstation and they'd have no clue what I was talking about. Really cool to see them surfacing secondhand almost 30 years later!
Man, Beavis and Butthead Sega.... that brings it back. I always got to the point where they go to work at the burger place and couldn't get any further and got bored and frustrated. Thinking about it now, that's a metaphor for my future life....
I love the KI console as well as the Krang's playset I can't ever remember seeing that, always saw the party wagon but never the play set cool find even to look at.
my elementary school rented out ps1 for the summer with those educational games. my parents had to sign a waiver saying they would not take us to blockbuster to rent games for it, and only allow us to play those. This was back around 1996.
3:27 cameo. My 1st convention. I stopped and said hi to you guys shortly after or was day 2 or both lol. I also had a cameo in game chasers episode where I wore their shirt and Billy shook my hand and pointed at it as he walked by.

Fun fact: Those Killer Kuts were exlusive to Blockbuster and were only supposed to be given out if you bought Killer Instinct for the SNES from Blockbuster. :D This could vary from state to state though
Some information on some of those educational PS1 games you came across: I'd say sometime in maybe 1997-1998 or so, at my elementary at the time, we were able to "rent" and take home a PS1 original console if we signed up for this program at school which allowed us to take the console home, and we had like 2 or 3 different titles at a time that were these educational games that we would play and have to fill out something afterwards, or did something like an hour a week or something like that at the time. At the end of the program, we were able to keep the console. I think there was only like 20 of us or so in the program, and that's how I got my first PS1 as a kid. It was awesome.
one console ive always wanted to see is the panasonic gamecube they came out with that was just a dvd player slapped on a gamecube all chrome only came out in japan

sooo when i was in elementary school our class had the ps and we played those educational games wow what a throw back brought so many memories
I got my Nuon a few years back and spent twice as much on the controller. At the time you could still buy new Nuon games on Amazon for $15-$20. It amazes me to see how much the cost has jumped in such a short time.

The educational PS1 games are not rare here in Pensacola. They were issued to local schools back in the day to help kids have a fun way to learn. I bought 4 dozen used sets from a school surplus warehouse for cheap. Coll item but it can be found cheap on eBay. Thanks for the video!

For me it's the Def Leppard shirt. They were my first concert. Front row,first seat in 1993. It was my 14th birthday present from my aunt and uncle. My uncle waited in line for two hours for those three tickets.

I still have my Nuon hooked up to my TV. Occasionally I pop a CD in and enjoy the VLM or play a few hours worth of Tempest 3000.
I love obscure video game consoles. Fairchild Channel F has to be my prize obscure console I own. I probably would've considered getting that Samsung Nuon just to say I have it.
I had my best friend from childhood get me a boxed with paperwork powerglove a few years back. 35 at a yard sale. 7/10 box too

@11:09 the killer instinct SNES box I paid $200 on ebay came cib with sealed CD - I got a free couch locally and sold it in 3 days for $300 - bought the SNES box and kept $100 :)

The Nuon uses the 3do M2 tech. Matsushita sold the tech after the M2 design failed to come to fruition. It was suppose to the successor to the 3do and at one time and addon.

The Nuon system prices have gone up. I remember when you could pick up one of the various makes of Nuon equipped DVD players for $40-60.

Ripped off on that SNES box set! Seen a bunch go in WAY better condition for around $450! I get it it's nostalgia, but to over pay for box in that condition is crazy to me! I saw one in that condition go for $200 on a few of them!

Okay I actually HAD some of the PS1 educational games. LOL! When I was in middle school, my brother got assigned some. I remember that little blue dog character. You'd have to solve these problems n things. good times!

Nuon wasn’t really a game system. It’s a dvd player that plays very basic games during the PS2 era. Where as the ps2 was a game console that played dvds, the nuon was a dvd player that played games.
On those ps1 educational games my school used to have them and we played them in class during break

I came across a whole tote of those educational PS1 'games' at a thrift store, but unfortunately they wanted $3 per game. I would have bought a box of them, but they were in such a mess, and I didn't even know what constituted a whole set. Craziest thing though was behind it I found a tote of the PS1 Slims with the screens attached, and I picked up all of them for a steal of a deal! Funny how thrift stores evaluate things sometimes.
