Unfortunately in the United States it is all too real that a horrific amount of privileged rich folk and politicians who have never had to worry about being able to afford medical bills have an absurdly low understanding of how expensive it can be or how hard it can be to get your insurance to cover certain things. They just have the money to access any doctor or care they would ever want or need and don't even think to consider that it wouldn't be as easy for other people
As a resident American historian on the Honestly Sophie channel I second this comment. Healthcare in America is incredibly corrupt and people with a lot of money can straight up just never go to jail and have no concept of what average people go through with healthcare, insurance, the law, whatever
I'm pretty sure the "wetness emerges, soaking my tearducts" line (or however that was worded) was just a really really weird way to say she started tearing up/crying a bit? Kinda strange in context either way cause the scene didn't seem really emotional, but the author really didn't need to make it extra weird by wording it like THAT
a "slow burn" where they make out at 18%.......... ah yes..... makes sense 😐 why do authors even bother sharing their books' tropes anymore if they can't even do it right? 🙄
32:34 this reminds me of that one knuckles quote from sonic boom: “You know, any time someone calls attention to the breaking of gender norms, it ultimately undermines the concept of gender equality by implying that this is the exception and not the status quo”
This is the second video I've watched recently where you apologize for being in our face. Do not apologize. You're the main character and we're quite literally here for your face.
Just sneaking in as an Selfpublished Author with friends and family members that are traditionaly published. Nope! Publishing houses these days don't care for their Authors or their books quality as long as they sell, it's fine. They won't invest a dime and throw the authors to the wolves if the readers complain. Think that is bad? An author friend of mine who happens to be teaching her language in higher education had an publisher who saddled her with an editor who FUDGED up the commatas in the entire book. Friend realized it in time and went to war. Made the publisher change the release date and saved what was to be saved. It was the straw that broke the camels back. She's selfpublishing now and far less stressed.
1:01:16 I’ve been referring to overly quirky characters as ‘Quirk Chungus’ characters after a meme I saw like a month ago and it just keeps being accurate
I have a friend who I often refer to as my "snob buddy", because we go into PMs to complain about bad fanfiction things as well as book things and look, one just needs a fellow snob in their life. (fanfic complaints we prefer to be in private because of the nature of fanfic being free, but books are def free reign to be a snob about in public lol😄)
49:41 disgustinggggg🤢🤢🤢 I can’t stand authors these days who write lines like this and editors who let that shit fly WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE WRITING INDUSTRY😭😭😭💀💀💀
That book sounds not for me at all. I'm glad you read some books so we can avoid. I'm not a contemporary or romance reader. I've attempted one or two books but nope. I need adventure, world-building.
i love cowboys, but i usually read old western classics since you cant trust NOTHING written in this current day in age to be good😮💨 edit: the comma thing is actually tragic. people in america dont value english class that much so they dont really pay attention to things like critical analysis and proper punctuation. i remember when i was still in middle and highschool where people would groan at learning the stuff, so i can only imagine its gotten worse (im in college for reference)
In ‚Collided‘ by Lauren Asher, it’s about a german f1 driver and I swear its the most infuriating thing to read as a German person. (If you ever need more content lmao)
"My mom is from Europe but she learned all my dad's favorite armenian recipes" Isn't Armenia kinda in Europe? I know it's on the border of Asia and Europe so it's probably debatable, but I can see people who'd consider Armenia an European country, like at least geographically. American authors once again prove that they think that Europe is Germany, France, the UK, Ireland, Italy and maybe, like, Sweden or Greece.
Armenia can be considered to be a European country on the basis of its ties to the EU. However, I’m from Russia and we tend to view Armenia as a Caucasian country because it’s located near the Caucase mountains, not so much in the “mainland” Europe per say
Strictly from the geographical standpoint nearly half of Russia is also in Europe but most people do not consider it as such, mainly because of cultural and historical differences, I think it’s the same for Armenia. It’s never been involved in European dynastic shenanigans

You might be thinking about Elsie Silvers‘s chestnut Spring series. It’s very popular. In reference to the Cowboys, that is
