- In order to minimize the impact on the environment and to comply with the Euro 6 standard, PEUGEOT has chosen to equip its diesel-powered vehicles with a system that combines the Diesel Particulate Filter (FAP) with an SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) system. ) to treat the exhaust gases without changing performance or increasing fuel consumption.
If the AdBlue (Urea) tank needs to be topped up, the urea warning light will come on when you switch on the ignition. You should arrange to have it topped up as soon as possible, but it will display a message letting you know how many more miles or kilometers you can drive before the vehicle will not restart.
In this video we see how to fill the AdBlue tank for Peugeot 308 II Hatchback.
Only use AdBlue® that complies with the ISO 22241 standard, OE Part Number: 1660724480 .
Procedure:
Before topping up, check that the car is on a level and level surface.
Switch off the ignition and remove the key or, if your vehicle is equipped with one, press the START/STOP button to stop the engine.
To access the AdBlue® (Urea) reservoir, lift the boot carpet and then remove the spare wheel or storage box (depending on version).
Turn the black cap counterclockwise a quarter of a turn without applying pressure and pull it up to remove.
Turn the blue cap counterclockwise one sixth turn.
Pull the knob up to remove it.
Grab a bottle of AdBlue®. Check the expiration date and then carefully read the instructions for use on the label before pouring the contents of the bottle into the AdBlue® reservoir of your car.
After emptying the vial, wipe any traces of liquid from the edge of the reservoir fill opening using a damp cloth.
Immediately rinse off spilled AdBlue® liquid with cold water or wipe it off with a damp cloth.
If the AdBlue® liquid has crystallized, remove it with a sponge and warm water.
Place the blue cap on the reservoir fill hole and turn the cap clockwise one sixth turn until it stops.
Fit the black cap and turn it a quarter turn clockwise without applying pressure. Make sure the mark on the cap aligns with the mark on the bracket.
Place the spare wheel and/or storage box (depending on model) back on the floor of the luggage compartment.
Reinstall the luggage compartment carpet and close the tailgate.
!!! Never top up AdBlue® from a filling system intended for trucks. !!!

You should mention not to open the car door or turn ignition, or literally anything for at least 10 mins before starting the car up otherwise it may not reset the warning, this happened to me. Thankfully after a couple of days it did reset, but it states in the manual not to touch the car.

Hey @AdrianDragan, you mentioned I should not use truck-specific AdBlue - so can I use the one offered at petrol stations? I never paid attention (first AdBlue diesel of mine) if there's separate pump for passenger and utility cars.
Hello. You need to see if the AdBlue offered at the gas station has the ISO 22241 specification. If this is, you can use it without problems in your car, otherwise I recommend looking for AdBlue with the ISO 22241 specification above at car parts stores.

Hello. Nothing happens, the solution will crystallize but without corrosive effect. If you put a lot of solution over the tank, put the blue lid on the tank and rinse with some warm water, then wipe with a cloth
Yesterday i did it. Unfortunately a lot of ad Blue spread out of the tank. Could this cause some problems? I cleaned the plug, but still the liquid went over the tank. Please help me? Thank you in advance

Hello. Usually the car notifies you when you have about 2 liters left in the tank, the total capacity of the tank is 10 liters in the Peugeot 308 t9. You don't have an indicator anywhere for how much you have left in the tank, but you can open the cap on the tank and look, you can top up as much as is necessary, being careful not to make a mess. AdBlue consumption is usually on average 1 liter per 1000 km.

Daca completezi imediat după ce apare mesajul de avertizare ca nivelul este scăzut sunt șanse ca mesajul sa dispară singur, este bine ca după completare sa aștepți 10-15 minute înainte de a porni masina. Daca totuși mesajul nu dispare după câteva porniri va trebui șters cu tester-ul dedicat. Cel mai recomandat ar fi sa faci completare înainte ca să apară mesajul, spre exemplu eu încerc sa completez la fiecare 5000-6000 km, tine cont ca la 308 se consuma cam un litru la fiecare 1000 km, totusi consumul depinde de regimul utilizării.
