Have you watched Rookie Rockhounding video DIY Rock Cutting - A Deeper Look at Lapidary. If not, it's a really good watch. He has a philisophical moment where he talks about how over time we start to place expectations on what we want to find inside, setting ourselves up for disappointment and forgetting to see the beauty that all these rocks offer. I just started cutting rocks a couple months ago and I already found myself doing just that. So gave myself a little slap in the face and now taking the time to really inspect all the cool stuff going on in these beautiful specimens! 😊

I like the dark blue and white ones in the beginning. They have a higher contrast. I also really liked the last one. The geode pockets are wonderful. I don't care which one gets cut next, as long as they eventually both get cut!

Hmmmm Cold Mountain!
Being that I lived in MN for a few years and am now back in Florida, this was really fun to see. My man also has a log cabin in the Smoky Mountains of TN, by Dolly Parton's hometown. He's also newly retired from the Army and SpaceX and before that NASA. We might be needing a new hobby in other words to keep the Colonel occupied..LOL. I'd love to know if you've cut any Minerals, etc from Tennessee. I'm fairly new to your channel so I haven't had the chance to binge watch all your video's, but I will..LOL. P.S...I was born and raised in Ontario, Canada..in a little tiny Village called "Big Bay", right.on Georgian Bay. It just so happens to be "The Stone Skipping Capital" so I grew up "rockhounding". without even knowing there was such a thing. My dad would be very impressed with your cuts btw...He had his.own business, a Brick Layer and Stone Mason by Trade for 50+ years..LOL. My life has been full of rock and coral...I should never have taken it for "granite"🤣😉. Thanks so much for the great fun and interesting content!

So beautiful!! I brought home some fossil coral from FL a few years ago, but I don't have a saw to cut them open. Although, I wouldn't really want to put my hands so close to that spinning blade. Yikes! I enjoy watching the results of the cuts, though!
