It will always be up to you but a lot has improved since the Series 1 so if you have the budget and the means to upgrade, I'd say the SE is a very good watch to have.

The actual watch, I think, is in black but the sports band is definitely more navy blue (especially outdoors) than black.

If you are still deciding, it is DEFINITELY a very very very dark blue/navy. Almost black. But the blue/navy is visible. Especially in sunlight.

Yes, it's original. I bought it from an official Apple Reseller Store. I think it's just one of the languages that prompts the user, much like when you first power on an iPhone. If you look closely, it's not only Japanese but also Mandarin, Spanish, English, etc.

doesn't have cycle tracking, and sleep stage : only the series 8 and ultra does
It can track your sleep with how much you slept but not stages.

Pues el mío lo compre en E.U y me salió mal a los 6 meses Apple watch se 40 mm, eso sí lo metía al mar sobre la playa y lo metía a cenotes, pero después lo lleve a garantía y me lo cambiaron, pero tengo un Casio 50 metros y lo metía igual como el watch y no le pasó nada sigue intacto, la verdad una decepción con el SE, última vez que compro esos tipos de reloj, Casio es otra cosa.
